Re: Signed Fedora
I understand that. I don't really have the money to send it to the US and get it checked out. However, after speaking to a few people, they've pretty much said that getting a COA is worthless as all it proves to them is that hat is what I'm claiming it to be. With the internet, I could easily forge ...

Re: Signed Fedora
other than there's a picture of SPF signing the hat? No. But then, getting COA isn't worth the time at all or even worth the paper it's printed on. All the COA proves is that it's a hat signed by said people. Which I know it's genuinely signed, I know the guy I bought it from. He went to those shows...

Signed Fedora
Two years ago now, I came into possession of a signed Dorfman Pacific fedora signed by a handful of Indiana Jones actors. Namely John Hurt, Julian Glover, Sean Flanery, Vic Armstrong and Wendy Leech. There is no official COA, but I was given a sheet with the star's names on, where the show was and t...

Re: Wested Leather shirts/trousers
I was doing some pricing up. Wested's trousers would cost me £70 including postage within the UK. WPG trousers would end up costing me more in the range of about £130. Which would include shipping to the UK, plus relevant import tax and customs fees. AS much as people say that WPG trousers are good,...

Wested Leather shirts/trousers
I've been searching high and low for a decent replacement for my current pair of brown chinos. Most places are either sold out of pinks in my size (34 waist) or they're stupidly expensive. On a UK supplier to WW2 re-enactors, they were asking £120 for a pair. I was looking at Wested Leather's packag...

Young Indy Boots
I'm looking at making a Young Indy costume based on the Mexico, 1916 portion of SBA. I found this picture on one of the cards which is the clearest shot I can get on any of the full costume. Can anyone identify what type of boots Indy is wearing? https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpf...

They do have a webley on there, but it needs VCRA exemption to buy it. Sadly, I don't have it. Looks like I'll be going the BB gun route and using that.

Todd's Costumes question
Hi all. I was looking of the site and I noticed the S&W revolver for sale. I emailed Todd on whether it would be legal for me to import it. He simply said he wasn't sure if it could and they wouldn't be responsible for anything being impounded by UK customs, destroyed and any potential criminal ...

Re: Leather Creations
I have a large size Flight Tech Inc A-2 Leather jacket. I bought it from a military fair years ago for about £120. The seller told me and had pictures to prove it. People had found old Allied storage warehouses across Europe that had been locked up at the end of the war and were abandoned. Many of t...

the reason I was planning on that jacket is of course, I work, but I'm on low wages and that Leather Creations jacket looked to be a upgrade that was within my reach and better than the A-2 I'm using for a jacket right now. Looks like I'll try and save a little more and go for the Wested one. I'll b...

Re: Resin S&W in the UK? Help!!
It's because that UK Gun Laws, especially the VCRA declare that all guns that are of a post 1870 design are banned, unless you happen to belong to a museum, theatrical group or re-enactment society. I think it's wrong as you can buy a BB Gun version of said weaponry as long as they conform to VCRA r...

Indy's Binoculars?
While I was in Burton today, I had a chance to visit the market and look at an antique stall. I picked up some late 40s - early 50s binoculars that seemed very Indy to me. The guy I bought them off thinks they may have been former military that ended up becoming civilian use. Pics: http://img.photob...

I'm interested in upgrading my bullwhip from one I bought in a fancy dress shop which I painted for £1.50, to a more realistic screen accurate one. I was watching the show on DVD the other day and I noticed the fedoras. I tried looking online for any info and couldn't see any. The fedora in London 1916 looks alot like the LC fedora. hahahhahah. They've been in a bag for a long while in a clearance bin. So I don't doubt that it had the dead skin cells of the people who'd tried em on in the run up to me buying em. What was in the gloves was a mix of leather and general dirt/debris

Re: Picked up some new gear
All I've done to them thus far is wash them in warm soapy water before i wore them properly. They told me to do this at the store. When I first tried them on at the store, the inside of the gloves were leaving little white flecks. They also said after I'd washed them and they dried, they'd fit my ha...

I picked them up for £4.99 from a surplus store. They have been used as they have someone's name in them from 1991. It's faded over time, so I can't quite make it out. Somehow, I get the feeling that if they really were valuable, then they'd be worth alot more than £4.99 and be in a better place tha...

I'm wanting to get a pair of gloves to get a bit closer to finishing the costume. I know a place where I can get these:
would they work by dying them green and roughing them up some?
