Well that could almost turn a Raiders guy into a LC guy...almost

Re: Nowak Jacket Owners Thread
Yep, I noticed the striations straight away. Sorry, I should have been more specific. I was referring to the overall texturing being a closer match to Tony's original shrunken lamb offering. It's interesting to see the striations in relation to this. I was waiting to see a jacket requested in this w...

Great jacket Chris and excellent pictures. Shows off the more subtle texturing of the 2nd generation SL very well. New version looks outstanding with your display.

Re: The ole TN1 back/front question
You'll also notice the "croco" look really isn't as noticeable as some might think - and particularly on film. This is what I noticed straight away. It almost looks smooth and free from texture in a lot of your footage yet we know in reality it is far from it. Very interesting. Great jack...

Re: The Raiders fedora--how did it come to be?
I'm sure this has been dispelled with previously but I seem to remember reading somewhere that Ford turned the hat himself for a more secure fit thus resulting in the brim distortion, whether it was because the hat was slightly loose or to prevent it from so easily falling off his head I can't recall.

Great job on your specs Yojimbo. Not much needs to be said, that looks outstanding on you.
Its the small details like the texture bubbling on the collar that I love about this jacket. Snaps look higher placed also. Superb.

Nice image
I agree, I'm sure Tony would do his best to match the first gen shrunken lamb if that is what his customer wanted.

Re: TN Indy 1 Pocket Flaps
CM the pocket on a size 40 TN measures 6.5"W x 8"H.
The flap measures 7"W
The height of the flap at the deepest point (between top of flap and the point of the scallop is 3").
The height of the flap either side of the scallop is 2.25"

Yes, it is stacked over the shoulder seam to end right at the sleeve.RCSignals wrote: The first about the back panel depends if he meant 'stacked over' the shoulder seam to end right at the sleeve or ending as the shoulder seam starts.

Re: What's the best jacket look in Raiders?
Chris's jacket was an exact copy of the hero jacket with the exception of the following: Back panel extended to shoulder seam. Sleeve seam 1" below yoke seam. 1/4" piping at top of pockets. Left pocket 1" from storm flap. Although specifically requested , some of these may be no diffe...

I now own Chris's jacket which has obviously been photographically and otherwise, well documented. The texture on the front panels is definitely more pronounced and cellular-like but this effect can change dramatically depending on the lighting, even in person. The sleeves of this jacket display a m...

Yep, I can attest to this. Received a Christie's from Hornet's a few months ago that had bad taper right out of the box, something I wasn't expecting after seeing some of the great examples posted here and in the old Christies thread. I decided to keep it as a knock about and it has come up ok. The ...

I think Chris hit the nail on the head with the individual needing to make a distinction between a replica of the jacket as it looked on set and therefore acknowledging the fact it will contrast to expectation, as opposed to emulating a perception of a jacket rendered by light and shade on film. The...
