Why freeze your head in winter just trying to follow 'proper manners'?' #-o I agree. Except that I have the same dilemma as JRabbit - the headrest gets in the way of the back of my brim. But as cold as it has been lately, I've just kept the hat on and put up with an occasional bump from the headrest.

Yesterday I was walking around at my son's soccer practice. I noticed one of the other dads looking at me as he walked by, and he said, "Nice hat!" That made my day. Which shows the kind of day I was having, I suppose.

I get the cowboy comment all the time when I visit my wife and her class of four year olds at school, and that isn't all that unexpected. But when a 30-something friend said something about my "nice cowboy hat", I figured she was due for a history lesson!

I've had my Fed IV for almost a year now, and I posted a few pics earlier in this topic soon after I got it. But I took a few new shots the other day, and this one is my favorite:

Chewie, the sizing tape that Hats Direct provides is nothing more than foam with a weak adhesive on one side. You can stick it on the underside of the sweatband, and remove it later if necessary. That's the reason I got mine - to be worn as an everyday hat.
