That is a really good fit. Even I couldn't complain about those armholes. The jacket looks functional, like you could move freely in it.

I really love the Temple of Doom jacket, and I'm hoping Diego's offerings are awesome. This is a Wested, yes? It's nice, and the distressing is first-class; you're the best at that, Knibs! However, I can tell it suffers from the usual Wested 'big-armholes'. The 'Pit-to-pocket' ratio is way off. Chec...

Agreed with Tex. Many times those side straps are cinched too tight. They were never intended to snug up the jacket fit, but to hold the action pleats even with the back. When pulled tight, the pleats can't close, and stay wide open as they are in your photo. The elastic strap is standard in a lot ...

Why you disagree? We say the exact same thing. The raiders was made in striated or ''ribby'' lambskin. The main hero jacket has striations. They are visible in the photos. The jacket that was copied by Tony Nowak also had striations, it's in his descriptions, he tried to imitate it by offering hide...

ok experts, based on the raiders and LC wested offers now, does the LC offer more arm/chest room in the same size? example- do you think a 44 LC would have more room than a 44 raiders? In my experience an LC will have more room bar none, it's a roomier cut. The Raiders is a slimmer cut in general. ...

What have gussets got to do with long arms? The Wested 'Hero' has them anyway, just like the TN Raiders jacket it's based off. The leather facings aren't needed, period. It just messes with how the jacket hangs. Why you'd go for the old (and wrong-looking) ROLA pattern over the much more screen-accu...

I think the pattern of Wested's Hero is spot on. You really can't go wrong.
The only consideration should be the leather used; nothing too thick and heavy or you'd lose the look of the movie jacket.

The Last Crusade jacket looks great on screen, but in real-life it's not so good, or practical. The Raiders jacket, for all it's 'flaws', works better. Smaller armholes and sleeves means better, less restricted movement; the higher yoke helps too. The LC has an oddly low yoke, huge armholes and big ...
