Planning on keeping them pure or is distressing in order? It'd be hard to bring yourself to distress such a nice pair of boots... I'm a firm believer in "natural" distressing. I'm planning on putting those boots through plenty of adventures. They'll gain plenty of character along the way....

I FULLY agree. I will be attending the midnight showing in full gear (whip and all) as well as coming to work the next day (Thursday) in full gear to celebrate launch day or as I've come to call it around the office 'INDY Day'.

I can't imagine how anyone can't be confident when wearing a fedora.

Congrats on the Professor's Diary purchase, fourzerotwo. I have a pair of the adventure pants & shirt. The fit is perfect on both of them. I love the custom made feature of his offerings and his attention to detail. I can't wait for these boots to come in. Thanks. Now I just need to decide if I...

You're very welcome. Magnoli does some amazing work. If you haven't checked out his clothiers site yet, I highly recommend it. Fantastic stuff. Yeah, I've been lurking on his site for quite a while, planning out an outfit. I have a Professor's Diary on order with him now that I'm looking forward to...

These look fantastic. The link on the original post doesn't seem to be working for me, are these available now via your clothier site?

I quit shaving on last Friday in prep for the midnight showing on Wednesday. So it's getting there. I think I'll have a nice amount of stubble by then.

I'll admit though, I have the worst facial hair growth pattern known to man. It's the most random thing you'll ever see.

Looks like I won't be needing to do any last minute belt making / shopping as Lee has came through for me 100% and I'll have everything I need by Wednesday at midnight!!

Thanks for the pattern offer again, and thanks to Lee for the great gear.

Re: Need a holster?

I live in the area and just finished making my own holster. I'm not sure I'll have time to make you one, but perhaps my good pattern would help. Please contact me if interested. I also have some of the brass closure studs should you need one. I live in Glendale. Jake J Thanks for the offer. I may t...

Where is there a local hat maker in Santa Monica? I lived there over ten years! Regards, Dr. J It's actually a hat retailer in Santa Monica on Pier Ave called Fedora Primo. They have a fairly nice selection, but not a huge Indy-esque selection regretfully. I was able to find a decent back-up there ...

Yeah, regretfully they won't be here in time. I headed down to a local hat maker in Santa Monica to pick up a back up Fedora this past Saturday, so I'll have something. Everything is set for Wednesday night at Midnight except my belts now which are also on order with Mr. Keppler, but I'm holding out...

Any Belt vendors in Los Angeles?

I have a web belt, gun belt, and bag strap on order currently, but am getting worried they may not arrive before the 21st (Wednesday) so I was hoping there may be some Local (to me) vendors in Los Angeles where I may be able to overnight or locally pick them up? Anyone have any good suggestions on a...

Robby, it's hard to get more masculine than a gas mask bag! I totally agree with this. This bag has character. Man-purses don't have character. This bag has seen war, traveled foreign lands, witnessed cities falls, and battles turned before making its way to you. Show me a man-purse that'd do...

I spoke with Lee just the other day, and he also told me they may not be here by the premiere. I'll be hitting up the midnight showing here in Los Angeles and was hoping to have it by Wednesday. I went ahead and seeked out a few "back up" fedoras in the meantime just in case, but hopefully...

My bag is also of a green(er) variety, I was going to try and dirty it up a bit but no color correction is needed in my opinion.

Distressing My Gear This Weekend

After months of gathering it all together (Jacket, Whip, Bag, Shirt, Trousers, Belts, Straps, Grail Diary etc.), in prep. for the midnight showing of Indiana Jones here in Hollywood I'm going to be distressing it all to complete the look this weekend. I'll admit, with the effort that went into getti...
