Re: D-Rings on the Raiders MKVII

I agree with IJJTM. To me the smoking gun is the way the webbing bunches up in the corner of the D-ring in the OP screencap. https://i0.wp.com/img.screencaps.us/198/4k-1-indianaraiders/full/indianaraiders4k-movie-screencaps.com-3768.jpg?ssl=1 https://indygear.net/cow/download/file.php?id=2877&t=...

Re: D-Rings on the Raiders MKVII

That's definitely it MakeIt!!!

More rounded and less flat than I'm used to seeing. This morning when I was pouring through the screencaps, I was looking for the Sam Browne slit to no avail which led me to believe I was incorrect.

Re: D-Rings on the Raiders MKVII

I've been pouring through HD screenshots trying to find something definitive...no dice. It's either the post style or a much smaller brass rivet than what we traditionally see put on repros. What's even more curious is this; Look at the D-ring (and it is 100 percent a D-ring) from these three sequen...

My eyes might be playing tricks on me in that screen cap, but that doesn't look like a rivet either. Looks more like a post style closure like on the raiders holster... :-k

yeah. It's awesome. Crazy gearhead question: Wonder why they opted for no bag in this episode, and if they did use a bag, where would the strap go? Gotta admit though, it would have been a humorous scene and a great way of introducing the Webley for the rest of his adventures.

I realize production folks weren't thinking there might even be sequels, I'm just saying with hindsight it would have been a neat little bit.

Yeah, I was just funnin'

I use a Windsor sometimes. And even above and beyond the thickness of the material, where on the tie the knot starts and how tightly you tie that base knot makes a HUGE difference. A full windsor is definitely more symmetrical when tied correctly.
