Looks like a modified german Alpine Backpack...

Havn't see one quite like the one above, but I'd expect you could modify this or something like it fairly easy enough.

Got my size large today! Woo Hoo!!! Chest and shoulder seem fine, maybe a tiny bit more snug than I'd like. It's ok around the waist, but that's more a function of my girth ;-) I am VERY pleased with the shirt, and even after a wash it is wearable for the 22nd! I did have to go on an emergency pants...

Has anyone tried Todd's deluxe whips???
Anyone try these yet? How do they compare with some of the other mid-range whips listed in this forum?

I ordered on from him because I simply could not yet afford a good roo whip or most of the other 'budget' roo-like whips. It is what it is. A decent whip, looks ok. Plaits are a little looser than I expected. A bit hard to crack (I'm new, so that could be mostly me). I can get it to give a fairly go...

Plastic hat block?
I saw this online...
http://www.hatshapers.com/Product%20Pag ... fedora.htm
$28.00 plus shipping. I was thinking of trying to use this and make my own hat. Looks like it might work out ok, based on the images on the page.
Any thoughts, other than the probably re-blocking I'd have to do?

Well, how do you know I'm not a Grimace? Yes, assuming the final product after the pleats and dye job is worth it, I'll take it in a tad. Wow, I've never seen a shirt so in need of a tailoring in. It looks like it was made for Grimace. Although I assume if you're going to be sewing on pleats ...

Going to try making a shirt.... looking for opinions.
Hey gang, I found these shirts online... $5.90 each http://www.rddusa.com/images/products/Army-Shirt-French-Cotton-Khaki-350.JPG I was thinking of buying a few, using the extras for material & putting the pleats on myself, using dye remover and then re-dying to something like a light khaki or st...

Close enough shoes
I know they are not moc-toe like the 405's, but at $50.00 plus the shipping on Ebay I couldn't pass these up. They are Stacey Adams Madison ankle boots, in brown. I think once I beat the snot outta them, they should look fairly Indy-ish.

I just found these. I don't know if they will sell 5-6 as a sample order, but we'll see. I also asked them in the email I sent where they can be found retail. Here's hoping!

Hey! You put me on the right track...they are called mesh eyelets, or ventilator eyelets, and not grommets. http://www.super-i.net/image/eyelets/ey8-1.jpg Thanks for pointing me in the right direction...now I just have to find a source...lol. I how that you can get pretty much the exact grommets at ...

Drain hole hardware for Indy bag
Hi all... I lucked into a WWII Czech gas mask bag for free that with some mods would make a pretty good Indy bag. Does anyone know where I can get the brass/metal drain hole hardware for the bottom of the bag? Or, have any ideas as to the best way to make them? I got the snaps covered already and th...

Indy Magnoli... Any chance you'd share how you make the brass drain holes on the bags? Do you make the parts or purchase them? I just lucked into a free WWII Czech gas mask bag that with some slight mods would be a good Indy bag. Since your bags look very SA, I wanted to model my mods to this one af...

Ok...now I'm all nervous again...lol I can't seem to find a link to adventurrebilt... how do I contact them? I'd say if you have the $60 now for a shirt, start scrapping what you can to get the $90 or so you need for one of Marc's Adventurebilt shirts if you want it before the movie premier, and if ...

I think you were looking at the 'cheaper 24.95 version...the Indy version doesnt have the rivets that I can see...they'd be covered by the cloth strip going up and down the front. http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff29/markrdickinson/shirt.jpg I'm just concerned if I wait for Todds, it will not be ...

True...found a good pic of the shirt on HF, and the bottoms of the pockets are squared...and the sides of the flaps angle somewhat. On the pictures for Todds shirt though, while the bottoms are squared, the flaps are still not quite SA. Decisions, decisions. The pocket corners are wrong, the epaulet...

Holt, <smacks head> I did not even think about TOD when I mentioned button color..good point. It would be nice to see the shirt outdoors or on a mannequin, I agree. I'm leaning towards this only because I've heard a lot of neg. comments on the WPG shirts, and I can't really afford some of the more S...

Has anyone tried this source for Indy shirts?
http://www.kiecks.com/indiana_jones.htm Has anyone tried these shirts @ $54.95? I'm debating on getting either this or the Todd's when they are available, or this if the Todd's won't be ready for the new film. This seems pretty good, but I think I'd redo all the buttons with a lighter color. Any th...
