Why does that one guy at the local gun club compete in local shooting competitions with a wheelgun while all the younger guys use Glocks and Colts? Personal preference. Russ Because if you are looking for absolutely BLAZING speed you use a wheelgun. http://www.blutube.com/Clip.aspx?key=D6E655337229...

Also, blurry screen caps are NOT exactly the best sources either. I am right with you. You have MUCH better captures.....actually mine are taken with a camera because, although I did actual screen captures, I could not figure out how to put them in the post. I mentioned in the other forum where the...

Once more the question is posed, what do we consider "canon"? the literary word, or what we can plainly see? I still maintain that because of the numerous screen captures by the members of this forum, that there is a case to be made for a MK VI, a WG or even a MK V WG VI hybrid being used....

I am right with you Russ. I still can't wrap my mind around the "12 parsec" thing in Star Wars. I know what I see in the movies and I know what I have read in the books. You get those screen captures, I would like to see them. There is a Ultimate Indiana Jones Guide coming out in a couple ...

They are in the forum The "Real" Indy Gun. They are screen captures of the gun from the side where you can see that the bird beak is missing, and there is a very hefty MK VI grip

:) I don't like the beating the dead horse routine, but I posted pictures on another forum that seemed to make the case that there was more than one prop being used. LFL gave the license to write the Indiana Jones Handbook, which says that he carries a Mark VI. In addition to the screen shots which ...

Magnoli bag arrived. OMG  it is fantastic. The bag is the perfect size for going to the rifle range, I can fit my binoculars, water, ammo and ear protectors. The bag is made of sturdy looking canvas and the leather strap is just the right size to not cut into my shoulders. Thank you Indy Magn...

Thanks Michaelson!! :notworthy: You saved my bacon...I bought the VI and was afraid that my wife would think that I wasted money and had not done enough research. I never even NOTICED the bird beak until I saw the screen capture, I had always assumed that it was always a MK VI. :D Now it is a point ...

8) I guess that, unless new info comes into the mix, it is entirely possible that both WG's & MK VI's were used in the making of LC. I had started to worry, but looking at so many people on this forum creating replica MK VI's & WG's it appears that I am not the only person who feels that Ind...

Hmmm :? Maybe he wasn't using a real Webley at all, maybe it was a modern replica, I wouldn't want to take the chance of damaging the Webley or Mr. Ford. I am still waiting to hear from Vic Armstrong, I will write to Louis Fleming, the prop master for LC. Maybe he can clear this up. I would like to ...

On the contrary, they are interchangeabe for fit, but NEVER try firing smokeless powder in a black powder cartridge revolver unless using very low pressure rounds. The metalurgy of the two weapons are completely different, and the pressure of the smokeless powder could easily blow a black powder ca...

I sent a letter to Vic Armstrong who was the Indy stunt double, if I hear anything I will our course post it. I think that there is another thing to consider when looking at the Webleys, that is the powder that it used. I am not an expert on antique firearms by any means, but since we now know that ...

I am having this discussion on a different forum as well. There are two scenes where you can see the Webley appears to lose its bird beak and become a standard MKVI. The first is when Indy is fighting on the tank. You see the rear of the gun clearly and it is NOT shaped like the WG. The other time i...

I think that there were probably prop guns for Harrison Ford and his stunt doubles. There is a whip in the lion car at the start of the film that is not the same as the one that he carries. It would be simple to have used the same whip in all scenes. It is very possible that there were multiple guns...

Here is a picture of a WG for sale on Gunbroker.com. The beak grip appears to be much thinner in profile the the MKVI. Bigger frame, bigger grip. I hope that, if I am right that I have a accurate Webley, even if it's not as rare as a WG. http://san1.atlanta.gbhinc.com/GB/097224000/97224130/pix234963...

I watched LC today and did some scene by scene examination. They used two guns in the making of the film. The WG is very visable when he is holding it, and you can clearly see the butt of the pistol. There are two scenes when the gun is in the holster and you can clearly see that it is a MKVI, the b...

Thanks

If only the true "Indy"ophiles will know the difference, then I am Ok with it. Maybe he will use the VI in the new movie.

As you can tell by the name I am a biy out of my element when I talk about Indy props.

8)

Just sent in an order. From all the feedback and positive remarks I have to assume that yours is the best replica out there.
