https://i.ibb.co/3NMsD3v/Screenshot-2024-01-18-232853.png Looks like a off the rack wested to me. Good catch, Holt! That's amazing how much research went into this! So is it safe to assume it's just an off the rack Wested Raiders then? And Leigh, I agree, I thought it reminded me of the Destiny jac...
That's fantastic information, thank you Indiego! Something I am curious about that I don't believe has been asked- Do you and/or Roberto personally make each jacket? Or do you outsource the work to a tailor (e.g. in India, China etc), like what Indy Magnoli does?
It's here! It had to be done! ...unless there's another thread on this topic, in which case, I apologize! But I'd love to see what everyone thinks of Indy's jacket in the Great Circle! https://deltiasgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Indiana-Jones-Game.jpg (Hopefully this is fair game, since thi...
Croft, thank you for that overview, and I completely blame you for those pictures of your jacket! It's just such a thing of beauty, it's pushed me over the edge to get another Indy jacket after over a decade's worth of Indy jacket abstinence! ;) IIJTM, thank you! I didn't realize they changed their ...
So I'm considering ordering a S&J jacket after seeing so many rave reviews over the years, but I'm curious- does anyone know if the prices on their website are up to date? And especially with their take on the CS and DoD jackets, was S&J able to source the same leather types from the same ma...
Never had the privilege to meet the man, but in the few emails we exchanged, he was very generous with his time. The man truly became a legend not only in Fandom, but in the history of Indiana Jones. May his spirit of adventure live on, forever immortalized on the silver screen, and carried forth ev...
Well, I absolutely love what HJ has done with the DoD fedora! I always preferred stiffer hats, and their DoD is almost western weight! They've definitely improved the way they pack their fedoras for shipping compared to the last few fedoras I received from them. It came very carefully wrapped, with ...
They must be on a roll, I just got notified I'll be recieving mine by the end of the week! \:D/ For what it's worth, I ordered mine at the very beginning of July, so that might hopefully give folks a very rough idea of where they're at with their orders. That's exciting! I ordered mine on July 3rd ...

Interesting observation. Did they ever state what material the jacket was made from? I could have sworn I heard it was cowhide, but I might be getting my jackets mixed up.
;) ^This! All of it. I like the hat, but that lack of any appreciable contrast between the hat and the ribbon is really making me twitchy. And while the video is nice, the lighting is not great. Really just need to see this fedora in various lighting scenarios to get a feel for the way the thing re...
That said, I like the look in Dial of Destiny—except maybe in the 1944 sequence. However I'm not sure if that's due to bad CG or whether there was something wrong with the actual hat. The 1969 hat I think looks gorgeous. From Indygear's fedora writeup: "In June of 2023, Joanna Johnston oversaw...
I bought mine at the end of June and they were estimating 6 months, so if I’m lucky should have that and a LC Deep Sable Rabbit by Christmas. Gerry Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm a bit hopeful that it may arrive sooner for you, since HJ states that it "may take up to six months," ...
Maybe I am not trendy but a gas bag mask does not scream "fancy". Cheers, Bear Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought that "fancy dress" referred to a costume. Something to suit the wearer's fancy. For example, a fancy dress party was more akin to a masquerade, or a Hallo...

A random thought that I had: I wonder how much variation there is in the color of the DoD hats, both production used, and what's being sent out. I've ordered two seaplane grey beaver felts from HJ a year apart, and one is visibly darker, and slightly browner. Likewise for two beaver CS train fedora...

I always thought the HJ DoD looked really light in the movie and stills.
Easiest way though is to compare the color of the felt in photos of the stock models on HJ's website, since I would assume they use the same (or similar) lighting and angles.
I just realized another reason why Frost River is likely a bit prickly: they sell their own version of Indy’s gas mask bag…but (of course) without coming out and claiming an affiliation: https://frostriver.com/products/archaeologist-satchel Oh god, I never thought I'd be drooling over a gas mask ba...
I don't blame you at all! Makes me long for the good ol' days when he was around, or even not too long ago when there were many unworn NH shirts floating around the bazaar...
Weirdly, I think the Disney Indy shirt feels fairly close to the NH, only cheaper... It has a similar thin-ness and almost sheer quality to the fabric, but just a cheap, scratchy fabric. Polyester, I think? But yeah, if you're looking for a similar weight fabric and feel, and want something that can...
So does anyone actually have a US Wings DoD that they wouldn't mind sharing photos of? I can't be the only one that's curious how this turned out... P.s. for folks thinking of buying one, I noticed that it is cheaper to buy the DoD jacket, hat, bag combo deal than it is to buy the DoD jacket alone b...
S&J can do light distressing, just ask for extra light, couple hits on seams, cuffs and back hem. It’ll be subtle. And look great. I have a DoD and I told Diego, go screen accurate, as he does it all before assembly, no thread damage. Croft  I'll second this. Having distressing marks o...
Interesting, do you know if the reverse taper was specifically requested by your friend? Every photo (official or not) I've seen of Ford's HJs in DoD looked to me like they were starting to do a normal taper, and not a reverse taper :-k Oh, it was for sure not requested. He bought a size 60 Destiny...
And reverse taper from the side! Very Raiders-esque, if you ask me... https://iili.io/HLGmgTB.jpg Interesting, do you know if the reverse taper was specifically requested by your friend? Agreed! It looks fantastic, especially for an older DP! Personally, I think the only change it could use is an upwards curl in the back as that's the look I most associate with Indy. Not to mention, it also makes it look more dressy, and usable in more situations. I don't even think the ribbon looks...
The rabbits I have from HJ are all very soft with alot of give, definitely not western weight. If anything, the sweatband would be the only thing with any resistance, but if the hat's the same size (just different shape), I doubt that should matter...? With that said though, if you didn't like how a...
Easiest thing to do would be to try on a standard shape and compare what you think of the fit. Even if a standard looks better, if it doesn't fit comfortably, you probably won't like wearing it. If you live near a hat shop, that would be a great place to start, otherwise just order a couple lids off...
Begin rant. Unless your jacket is specifically for cosplay, pretend, theater etc. I dont see the need to artificially distress a new and perfectly good leather jacket. I carefully select a good, well built, cosmetically appealing, stylish leather jacket to USE and not baby. Break them in with your ...
Why no sizes larger than 61cm? and why a 6 month wait? Simple answer is that they're swamped: https://www.economist.com/business/2023/06/29/indiana-jones-and-the-fedora-boom On the bright side (for us), correct me if I'm wrong, but the demand doesn't seem to be anywhere near as high as what ABs saw...
Just as most of us want authentic, screen worn Indy gear, some folks prize officially merchandised "Disney" gear... I must admit, if this ever comes back in stock, I'm tempted to order one just to use as a back-up when I do any "adventurey" travel (assuming it's somewhat durable)...
Oh, that's interesting, I didn't realize Frost River had pulled their information as well. That would make complete sense why David Morgan would have done the same.
I take back what I said, hope no hard feelings, anyone.
I'm sorry, but with all due respect, that's just not too much to go on. Maybe they did, and maybe they didn't, but at this point, even a micro operation like Frost River is enjoying and publicizing their involvement in Indy V, and I'd be shocked if FR paid any product placement fees. I mean, without...
I am really curious if they'll make their (under) six month goalpost they set for themselves. Seems a little optimistic, but if it works out, I'll be a kid again this Christmas!
