Wested is a superior quality jacket, and a bargain for the price. (I have lamb). Mine is an unmodified off-the-rack size, and it fits perfectly. It's a very well made jacket, and it's easy to spot that by the way the collar stands. The collar is soft and stands naturally, like a shirt's collar. Many...

The Wested jacket is really a high quality piece of gear. Really soft leather and well made, for example the collar of lesser-quality leather jackets is all stiff and stands away from the neck, but the Wested's collar is soft and hugs the back of the neck like a cotton shirt's collar. Besides, Weste...

First, I'm convinced that 4 will happen, and that they'll start filming it this year. However, after Star Wars, I'm not sure that it's a good thing that 4 will happen. I don't think that Lucas nor Spielberg are able to see a difference between the hat in Raiders and the hat in the following 2 movies...

Nice hat, Doc! My HJ from Todd looks the same as yours. Glad to see that after one year it still looks good. The only thing they have in common is the name on the sweat and liner. In other words, it ain't a real HJ. Fedora, look at Doc Riviere's hat and at Bleyd's hat, can you still say that the onl...

Todd's shaped hats look very well, I don't think you'll need to modify anything if you order it shaped by him. I returned mine for a larger size, and I got one from the new batch. The ribbon is the same (as per Todd's site, not as in the pictures on the SAW site), but the felt is better. It's softer...

Christys Adventurer
Looks like an Indy hat, take a look: (scroll down until you see the Adventurer. It comes open crown, which is interesting.

Has anybody seen one of these? I wonder if they're lined in red like the bowler.

the only thing they have in common with the Raiders fedora is a name on the sweat and liner Like I said, HJ quit making Raiders hats long time ago, even when Swales was there, and they now make a hat which is closer to the LC hat, which is also an Indy hat, so HJ still makes a genuine Indy hat of s...

HJ is more than the Indy hat, and the Indy hat is more than the Raiders hat. The LC hat is also an Indy hat, and you can get perfectly accurate LC hats from HJ today, and not-bad Raiders hats. Even though the hat has changed since Raiders (25 years ago), today's HJ Indy hats still scream Indy when y...

You are getting a SAB hat, that bought the HJ name. They own the name. My point, is these hats are not REAL HJs. They are knockoffs. Fedora Swaine Adeney bought HJ (the company), not only the name, the same way as they bought Brigg earlier. That doesn't mean that the HJs are not real, nor does it m...

The 37 % tax is the tax that all of us here in Canada have to pay when purchasing goods made in the non-NAFTA zone, i. e. not made in Canada, USA or Mexico. It's broken down into a 19% duty, and 15% PST-GST applied on top of the duty. So for every 100$, you pay 19$ duty and the PST-GST is applied no...

Todd's and SAW have the same price, at least when you order from Canada. Todd's is US$ 240+20 for bashing =US$260=CA$300(X1.15, rate varies) X1.37 (for 37% tax) = CA$411+delivery. SAB is 165 UK pounds X0.85 (UKVAT tax does not apply for overseas) = 140UKpoundsX2.15 (rate varies) X 1.37 (tax) = CA$41...

New pics of the hat are up on the Swaine Adeney Brigg-HJ website, and this time it's a real HJ:

Looks like it's a new bow from the side view.

When is that catalogue from? I got it 2-3 weeks ago. I like HJ, it's a company that's got a lot of history, and it hurts to see them do things like showing a picture of a DP and calling it a HJ, and not even seeing the difference between their own product and another. Plus the pin is so obvious to ...

From this site: http://swaineadeney.co.uk/ or from Herbert Johnson directly? Swaine Adeney Brigg own Herbert Johnson, and both companies share the same shop in London. So when buying from swaine adeney you buy from HJ directly. Regarding the picture of the hat, I don't think that they're selling DP...
