Re: Savile Row glasses, Raiders style. Pictures, please!
I have a photo of me wearing mine in a front on shot, but it's HUGE and I don't have control of the photo size as it's on my daughters photo account....let alone the fact you're asking folks with 'fat heads' to show their glasses. :? Not sure I want to comply. :-k [-( ;) Regards! Michaelson Michael...

Savile Row glasses, Raiders style. Pictures, please!
Hello, I am currently looking for a new pair of specs, and my girlfriend is determined to get me some hipster-ish plastic frames. Personally, I am more inclined to wire-framed kinds. though not as round as Indy's. But I have always wanted a really nice 14kt pair, such as our dear Dr. Jones wore. The...

That is a good looking straw hat, and I like the brown hat as well, maybe moreso. But that white hat is very sharp looking. OK before I say this, I have to preface my thoughts with a little caveat. I am originally from Arlington which is right outside Ft. Worth, TX so Peters Bros. is the hometown he...

Congratulations, it looks great! I think it must be some kind of postal policy to damage hat boxes. My PB custom box arrived a little beat up also! It must be their standard practice because the same thing happened to my Camptown -- and just about every other thing I have ever had dispatched via th...

I carry mine every day in my right pants pocket. Alongside it, I carry my Hubertus knife and a British two pound coin I picked up while in London last summer. Just in case I randomly wake up on an adventure (I keep hoping) I'll have my knife and lighter ready to go and at least some money in my pock...

That's a great looking hat. When I get a little more loose change, an odd idea to contemplate for a college kid, I'm going to get onf of those. You'll love it. I certainly love my Fieldmaster. By the way JJ, the name Fieldmaster itself is pretty cool. I wore it out to a bar the other night, and seve...

Michaelson, thanks for the salt. It'll go nicely in my wounds. Cheers, Chaos No salt intended, my friend. We can NOT emphasize safety enough in this hobby when it comes to the use and practice with the whip, and, of course, handling of firearms. Even the veterans need to remind themselves of ...

A little bit of embarrassment, and a lot a bit of pain
OK this is the only place I could post this without feeling too much embarrasment. So after rereading several threads about Indy's bullwhip last night, I went out in my backyard to practice with my own. Now, keep in mind my whip s*cks. It's a 10-foot Mexican plait whip with a swivel wooden handle th...

Hang on, lady. We're going on a ride. Mine was an ill-fated Stetson Temple, followed shortly by my Dad's old Avirex B-2 bomber jacket. Neither was close to screen accurate, but I thought I was the cat's meow. I still have and wear the jacket because it's sooooooo soft after 20 years of wear. I'll ev...

Personally, if the prop is all that makes the character who he is, then either the character is shallow or the writing is bad. My feeling is it isn't the hat, the jacket, or the whip which makes Indy. It's his determination, perseverance, and human quirks which makes Indy the character so many peop...

Puppetboy, Thanks so much for the tip about molding the holster to your gun. I soaked mine thoroughly for about 15 to 20 seconds, wrapped my HFC airsoft in a baggie -- genius by the way, I wouldn't have thought of that -- and then let it dry for two days. It works great. I got my delux Webley holste...

My airsoft trigger is acting up
Hey guys, I just received my HFC Model-Revolver 131A1 from Gamesfantasy.com, and at first I was super excited. Like the fool that I am, I have been dry firing it just to get the feel of the action. Well, for some reason the trigger has stopped recoiling to the full ready position. When I pull the tr...

Count me in that number. I was actually told by a slick but very confused salesman that the ill-fated Stetson Temple was the exact hat used in the movie. When I started to realize that it wasn't breaking in anything like the hats in the movies, I began nosing around. That's how I stumbled upon this ...

To Dr. Seuss, I need to add an addendum to my previous response. When I spoke to Jersey, he said that when he orders from his supplier, he has to order in quantity. I think he said he ordered about ten hats in the standard sizes. Since I called him out of the blue, my hat was achieved on a sort of s...

To Dr. Seuss, When it was all said and done it took about four months. Jersey ran into a little bit of trouble in getting the felt from his supplier. His source is a large company that does a most of its work for big western stores who order felt for their entire cowboy hat line, so a boutique opera...

Camptown Model 1936 Fieldmaster fedora review
IT FINALLY CAME!!!! In February, I committed the cardinal sin of Indygear fans. I lost my fedora. There was nothing cool or heroic about it. No leaving it in a tomb as the door came crashing down. No dropping it in the wake of a giant boulder chasing me. No I left it in my backseat and a friend unwi...

Mola Ram, It's actually on quite evenly because I assumed -- you know what that means -- that it would simply wipe off. I would just prefer to get it back to white because I like the look of it better. Any ideas? It's also a bit of a future-reference wuestion so I can fix problems of the same nature...

Esteemed colleagues, I finally got my new Aldens, and they are fantastic. I actually looked at the Staurs not too long ago, and at some point, I will probably pick one up. They really are good looking. My only concern is that they wouldn't be able to stand up to a rugged lifestyle because of all of the moving parts and its overall complexity. That said, they are beautiful...

OK, I know this probably isn't an actual picture of Harry in his role as Indy, but I came across this image not too long ago, and I thought it was at least worth mentioning as a contribution to the perrenial debate about what kind of watch Indy would have worn. Michaelson, I am expecting an anachron...

Hello everyone, First, I have to say that I am new to the forum in an official sense, but I have been reading the banter for some time now. First-time poster; long-time lurker, you could say. Anyway, I am on the verge of making the plunge and getting some Aldens, but I am concerned they will not loo...
