Yeah, I'm actually amazed how good it feels. I've been waiting for this day since I was 7.Still, isn't a great feeling to see a brand new hat arrive at your doorstep?
They've updated the bow...granted it's still not 100%, dead-on screen accurate, but it's a LOT better than the previous version, in my opinion. The new design, with the larger center knot, seems much more balanced and, well, Indyish. I like what I see.Erin Jones wrote:Here's the ribbon link.

My box was not damaged but the hat had a dent on the side of it. Either way I crumpled the hat so I would be scared of bashing it. It's rather durable
It must be their standard practice because the same thing happened to my Camptown -- and just about every other thing I have ever had dispatched via the P.O. That's all right. When I get ahold of the Ark, I'm going to bring it to the nearest Post Office, close my eyes, and ask them to take a peek inside.Indycop wrote:Congratulations, it looks great!
I think it must be some kind of postal policy to damage hat boxes. My PB custom box arrived a little beat up also!
That's one nice hat!Erin Jones wrote:That was my best pseudo Doctor Frankenstein impersonation.Any ways I got home from work today and there at my doorstep is a box from Australia.
My Fed has arrived. I am going to spend all night bashing it. Below are the pics of my treasure. I’ll post images of it once it’s completed. I feel like a kid at Christmas right now…

I believe it’s the lighting because it is definitely brown. Also, I don’t keep up with all the local bands like I use too. College was real fun… but I will keep a look out to see if I see his band. The usual place for a band to play in town is the Boro Bar and Grill.Hey...hat looks great. I know i might open up a can of worms here but its funny because the hat looks kinda grey in some of those pics.
Also i just noticed you are from Murfreesboro, TN. My youngest brother is from there...that's right...a starving musician. Ever hear of "Luke Pruitt and the Doghouse" by chance?

What is the technique to get that look?

Yeah, I was a little thrown off about how far back the bow was, but... you know what, I think it works fine. I dig it.I noticed on the side view, the bow looks far back - almost like you put a reverse turn in it.
