Tried it out yesterday. I can get cracks out of it much easier than my jrzjoe. Definitely a good beginner's whip.

Stinky Dragon, do post pics of yours. I'd love to see how a natural tan looks like.

I got the whip from olde-tyme-stuff on Ebay. I didn't put my hopes too high and was pleasantly surprised.

Yes, the hat is a Federation. A Fed III to be precise.

What do you guys think of this whip?

Just upgraded from my 2 year old jrzjoe 4 plait 8 footer to this new one, an 8 plait 8 footer in dark saddle tan. I just got it so I haven't cracked it yet. Probably this weekend. What do you guys think? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v326/kalkamel/DSC00280-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums...

Finally had the time to take pics of my AB! I placed my order with Steve in June of last year. I asked for a Raiders bash specifically the temple scene at the beginning of the movie. In December 2006, I received it and I've been using it ever since! :D Here are some pics of my AB alongside my Akubra...

I think the regular Fed is of a darker shade, and some would argue that there is a greenish tint to it. I have a regular Fed (which I love to death!) and the color difference is very obvious when it's next to my AB (which I also love to death! ). Based on the pics I've seen, the Fed deluxe wou...

(The brim's shorter so it will show more. I don't think a brand new Akubra can get this without working the brim a good deal....
