The leather is very rich, thick but soft and supple. It is as nice as the FS cowhide material, and that is one of the reason I am so pleased with it. When it came in the waistband was not sewn properly and I sent it back and they fixed it very quickly..now it is pretty close to perfect, perfect for ...

San Diego Leather G2 Raiders
http://tinypic.com/b7c58y.jpg http://tinypic.com/b7c6tw.jpg Sorry I couldn't figure out how to have these open up with the post. This is the jacket I just got from San Deigo Leather. The quality is very nice, very reasonably priced as well. I like the fit better than any other G2's I have tried, and...

Yup, I can post some pics but I am sending it in for them to adjust the fabric around the bottom as it is no right on one side causing the leather to bulkle just a tad..I agree about the leather bottom, it just does not look right. Since I knew how much shorter and since they had to make it up for m...

Not an Indy, but a Raider's just the same
My search for a leather jacket has ended and I received my raiders G2 style from San Diego Leather yesterday. www.leather.com The jacket does not look half as good in the pics as it does in person. I opted for the cow in brown. The jacket is a super value at $215. Since they had to make one for me a...

Well here is an update. I had brought in a G1 with leather collar from San Diego Leather, found it surfing...it was pretty nice fitting, very inexpensive. In order to get a US Authentic the way I wanted I would have to do a custom...Not wanting the big patch pockets I tried the G2 from San Diego and...

Rixter asked me awhile ago about the US Authentic and my expience...the A2 I ordered had the nicest goat I have seen but the 38 was too small and the 40 too big, in both cased the epaulettes did not lay flat, so if I do buy from them it will take a trip to their facility to make sure I get fit prope...

Rixter, good questions....What made the US Authentic head and shoulders above the goat I tried from FS was the feel, look and overall drape of the jacket. While I am between sizes, the 40 was a bit to big, overall including the length, the 38 was just too confining. I have not ruled out going to US ...

US Authentic, wondering why I see no posts on them
I brought in a US Authentic Goat (it is a 40 and they run a bit big so my 38 will come today). Compared to the Flightsuite the goat is head and shoulders nicer, so nice that it is the only leather I would consider in their jacket, and the fit is very nice (I can imagine the 38 being perfect). Wonder...

I just got a jacket for US Authentic to try...the goat is just great feeling and lookng, much nicer then the Flightsuite I tried, but the jacket is too big, I think I would need a 38....so I will try one of those now...very nice jacket...don't know if I will do anything custom or not (the only thing...

horse/goat....how do they break in?
I am looking at an A2 at the moment, maybe without the epaulets, but I am not sure (not worried about accuracy on this one)...so I am wondering how these different hides look? I have heard that the goat will pretty much stay as new, while the horse will get nice creases in the arms and body..so I am...

I tried the FS riaders and hated the gussetts.....hated them enough to never want them on a jacket I would wear. A biswing back is ok...I thought the gussetts were the extra material but wanted to make sure I had the terminology right. FS does have a CWU that now has no gussetts but a bi swing back....

who owns a G2 jacket?
I wonder if under the arms it is like the FS raiders, with a lot of extra material for freedom movement. Those look pretty bad on me and I want a nice fuller cut jacket but without the under arms being modified for movement like that one.
Thanks

This was their raiders which is like a flight jacket and it was in cowhide. The gussetts were very noticeable. I ordered the FS raiders and the expedition to check them both out, both in a 38. I finally got one yesterday and the jackets really do look better in the catalog, espeically the Raiders that I have been considering. I am not sure of a big stocking Alden dealer. You may want to go a width narrower instead of going shorter, depending on how much room you have...

What's the big deal with being screen accurate?????
Sorry to be bringing up a possible sore subject, but is it that important to look exactly like indy looks? I mean, isn't it ok to have some clothes that are close? I for one never want to be a clone of any character, but I do often want something similar....I get a chuckle when I see some of the pic...

FS Lamb
When I was talking to the customer service person at FS they indicated that the lamb was very delicate. I wear an Andrew Marc lamb that is pretty new, very soft but does not seem to be overly delicate. They steered me towards goat (which I know is very durable but does not drape the same) or cowhide...

My regular shoe shop keeps telling me I won't like these, that they look too orthopedic. That is not the impression I get from the pics I have seen. Would you consider these pretty much a work boot? Not kidding, it was a raiders style (as in FS raiders)..it may have had flap pockets but I was focused on the ragland sleeves and waistband.. Maybe we can start our own trend
