The leather is very rich, thick but soft and supple. It is as nice as the FS cowhide material, and that is one of the reason I am so pleased with it. When it came in the waistband was not sewn properly and I sent it back and they fixed it very quickly..now it is pretty close to perfect, perfect for ...

San Diego Leather G2 Raiders

http://tinypic.com/b7c58y.jpg http://tinypic.com/b7c6tw.jpg Sorry I couldn't figure out how to have these open up with the post. This is the jacket I just got from San Deigo Leather. Not an Indy, but a Raider's just the same

My search for a leather jacket has ended and I received my raiders G2 style from San Diego Leather yesterday. www.leather.com The jacket does not look half as good in the pics as it does in person. I opted for the cow in brown. The jacket is a super value at $215. Since they had to make one for me a...

Rixter, good questions....What made the US Authentic head and shoulders above the goat I tried from FS was the feel, look and overall drape of the jacket. While I am between sizes, the 40 was a bit to big, overall including the length, the 38 was just too confining. I have not ruled out going to US ...

US Authentic, wondering why I see no posts on them

I brought in a US Authentic Goat (it is a 40 and they run a bit big so my 38 will come today). Compared to the Flightsuite the goat is head and shoulders nicer, so nice that it is the only leather I would consider in their jacket, and the fit is very nice (I can imagine the 38 being perfect). Wonder...

I am looking at an A2 at the moment, maybe without the epaulets, but I am not sure (not worried about accuracy on this one)...so I am wondering how these different hides look? I have heard that the goat will pretty much stay as new, while the horse will get nice creases in the arms and body..so I am...

I tried the FS riaders and hated the gussetts.....hated them enough to never want them on a jacket I would wear. A biswing back is ok...I thought the gussetts were the extra material but wanted to make sure I had the terminology right. FS does have a CWU that now has no gussetts but a bi swing back....

I wonder if under the arms it is like the FS raiders, with a lot of extra material for freedom movement. Those look pretty bad on me and I want a nice fuller cut jacket but without the under arms being modified for movement like that one.

Thanks

I have some Allen Edmonds ankle boots with a monk strap that are fine, a little heavier than the shoes, but not too too much heavier. I would think the indy boot to be quite a bit heavier..Alden shoes are pretty substantial when you get to the thicker souled models
