Not an Indy, but a Raider's just the same

My search for a leather jacket has ended and I received my raiders G2 style from San Diego Leather yesterday. www.leather.com

The jacket does not look half as good in the pics as it does in person. I opted for the cow in brown. The jacket is a super value at $215. Since they had to make one for me and I needed the sleeves two inches shorter than their standard they made one for me special, instead of altering one if they had it in stock. I tried both a G2 with all leather waist band and sleeves and a G1 for size. I got the G2 with fabric around the waist as well as at the sleeve ends. I wanted to buy the Flightsuit model very badly but the larger gussets under the sleeves just did not look good to me. These are smaller, do not have quite the same range of motion, but more than enough for my needs. The leather is soft and pliable and has a great appearance. They offer it with some unortodox features if you want, like the leather waistband, sleeves, fur collar. I went for the way Kevin Costners (without the wear and a somewhat fuller cut) looked in Field of Dreams. A very nice jacket and a super value, with a 10 year warranty.

Nice! Can you post some pictures? We would love to see it!!

Did they charge you much extra for the custom items you asked for
like the shorter sleeves?

I think the wool cuffs and waist look much better on the jacket than
the leather does. You made a good choice. The wool will give more
when you move, and it will not bunch up as much as the leather would
have.

To me, the leather cuffs and waist look to 1980's. But hey, some people
like that...

Yup, I can post some pics but I am sending it in for them to adjust the fabric around the bottom as it is no right on one side causing the leather to bulkle just a tad..I agree about the leather bottom, it just does not look right.

Since I knew how much shorter and since they had to make it up for me anyway they did not charge me extra..their usuaul charge is $20, still very fair.
