Why on earth would they ship them that way? Doesn't make any sort of sense? Why don't they just charge an extra $5 if it means that much and ship it in a box?

I use it for winter conditions and it is large enough that I can layer underneath it - but it stands up by itself in a way that it doesn't look too big ...

Not wanting to get too off topic, if you are looking for very good and functional MC jacket, look at Fox Creek Leather. While not Indy, it is what a MC jacket should be and it weighs 9 lbs. I have one, it is their Classic II. Ride safe.

Jacket is being sent back. It is a 40R but with (unadvertised) short sleeves. Too bad, otherwise it is a nice jacket and would have been a good deal at the Clearance price of $249.

The sleeves on my Wested come to the first knuckle of my thumb and when sitting in the driving position they come to about 1.5" above my wrist. I think that you may not like how far those sleeves are going to be riding up your forearms in a seated position if they're only to your wrist standin...

Actually, the car Weaver drove in Duel was a Plymouth Valiant...BUT the Dart was figured prominently in the Chachapoyan Temple at the beginning fo Raiders...the poison tipped kind!!
