Why on earth would they ship them that way? Doesn't make any sort of sense? Why don't they just charge an extra $5 if it means that much and ship it in a box?TCARTPILOT wrote:......Wested ships their jackets in a flimsy plastic shipping bag

Hi Guit, I have 2 A2's - a HH and a goat. What I have are 2 entirely different jackets. The HH is at least twice (?maybe 3x) heavier than the goat. I use it for winter conditions and it is large enough that I can layer underneath it - but it stands up by itself in a way that it doesn't look too big ...

I measure my chest at 38 inches, but I wear a 40 short sport coat and that is what I should have gone by...but, those double gussets under the arm of the raiders, they are just too ugly. Any flight jackets withought epaulets and no gussets under the arms? Maybe there is not flight type jacket for m...

What! You say made-to-measure is no longer available? Oh, yeah, I do recall them telling me that. Have I ever mentioned my futile attempts at trying to purchase another jacket in my ALREADY made-to-measure pattern that I had paid extra for just a short period prior to them deciding that they would ...

Re: Sizing help required for US Wings Indy
I'm looking for help from US Wings Indy owners vis-a-vis what size I should order for my height/build. I am 6'2", 200 lbs, 36" waist, long arms and torso. By their reckoning, I should order XL, which will probably be adequate for the arms, but which I fear will probably be too large for m...

lowmileage, I think I saw your jacket back on the clearance page on Flightsuits. It is advertised as a 40R torso and 40S sleeves. So it appears that they realized their mistake. Axel Axel, They had a jacket on their clearance page last week. A 40 R body with 40T sleeves. I figured this would be goo...

Marc, I bought a dark brown goat Expo back in June of this year. My jacket was a clearance item so I had it in a week. It was a made-to-measure 40R torso with 40 short sleeves. The fit and quality were perfect. I don't have any experience with older Expos, but I did have a Cooper (U.S. Wings) cowhi...

Question on sleeve length? Wife says too short!
I've been holding off sending for my Wested TOD jacket because I want to get my weight to 165-170 which means loosing another 10-15 lbs over the 10 I've already lost. I've already got a too big #44 A2 from the Sarge. Well I saw that Flightsuits had a clearance in a #40 Expedition Lamb for about $180...

I own a U.S. Wings VIP cowhide. You're probably asking why I didn't return it. Well my Mom payed for about half of it for a present and she thougt I was happy, (which in some ways I am- I wear the jacket) and secondly the first time I put it on the darn U.S. Wings tag on the sleave broke off! The h...

Wested shoulder measurement???
Getting real close to putting the order for the Temple of Doom jacket that I should have done a month ago. How do I do the shoulder measurement? For a 40 R on the chart it says 6.65" That obviously isn't from one shoulder to another - at least not mine :) And for the back length - it appears th...

If you want an inferior copy, with a bunch of hassles if you have a problem, with a price tag of about 30 percent more than an real Wested, and god forbid if you take the tag off the jacket, and you can no longer return it for an exchange or refund, and you like a one size fits many jacket, then by...

Any suggestions for my first Wested?
I'm new on this forum but I think it is way cool 8) . I have a US Wings Horsehide that I just bought in May and can't wait till the fall when I can start wearing it. It turned out to be slightly too big cause since I got it, I've lost some weight. I bought a #44 and it probably should be at least a ...

Actually, the car Weaver drove in Duel was a Plymouth Valiant...BUT the Dart was figured prominently in the Chachapoyan Temple at the beginning fo Raiders...the poison tipped kind!! Our own Michaelson has a VERY nice 40's Plymouth that looks very Indy-ish, tho. Duel, one of the great movie classics...

Re: Note on recent US Wings Customer Service
After reading a bunch of horror stories about US Wings cutomer service I thought that I would post this. I purchased a US Wings Goat Indy jacket back in the end of October. I recieved it on Halloween, and while very nice it didn't fit quite right, a bit too small. I decided to return it and from wh...
