As Junior said, I am also not around as much as I would like to be, and I was shocked today when I came here and saw the news about Peter. The jacket is still new. Thanks for your concern. Not really. Once you applied the water to it, you altered it. Its no longer considered "new". Its the same thing as if you applied some kind of leather dressing to it. I am only telling you this because Sarge has been VERY clear about this...

US Wings. Don't worry, I'm not going to do anything that would risk my return at this point. Because you tried to "fix" it with water, you may not be able to send it back. Sarge does monitor this site, and if he sees that you did something to the jacket, like putting water on it to try to...

I would love to see the jacket made from brown Cotton Canvas. The Cotton Canvase that Carhartt jackets are made from, only in a medium brown color. If there is an Avirex tag in your jacket, I have feeling you have a repro, not an original military G-1 jacket. Avirex didn't make jackets for the military when it was started in the 70's. I think the fit of the jacket looks good on you, which seems odd if your jacket is indeed a size large since you say you are 5'6" and about 155 pounds. The shoulders don't hang down too much, and the length is good. It may look a little long because of the shirt you are wearing under the jacket...
