When I had my handwarmer pockets stitched up they (not Wested) had to open up the lining. I resisted this, but the guy persuaded me they were experts and it could be put back together and I'd never know it had been opened up. And they did. Remarkable. No evidence of operation. But these guys were cl...

JJ That is a truely superb coat and is a credit to Wested. You look great in it!! You are a fortunate guy! I have a Wested Raider Goat and a minor problem is finding sweaters (pullovers) to wear under it which don't show at the bottom. "All" sweaters are too long! Maybe next time I'll get ...

Neos, I'm sorry to hear about this. I had the handwarmer pockets on my Wested goat stitched up mainly because I think the main pockets are perfectly adequate and I think the handwarmers are uneccessary - and I was always paranoid that I'd get em caught on a chair arm/ car door handle etc. and tear t...

My Wested Raider Goat is now well over a year old and getting even better with age (like we all do). When I first got it someone I work with once said "Hey it's Top Gun!" I laughed it off. I'm sure such comments only happen when someone sees you in something new and perhaps their minds rap...

Happy Birthday, Goat!

My Wested dark brown Raider Goat is 1 year old! Thoughts: 1) So pleased I bought it. 2) It looks great. 3) No undesirable wear damage (eg. no stitching breaking loose etc.). 4) Breaking in nicely (ie "appearance improving"). For the first 6 months I looked after it too much - hung it up on...

This 1" thing is a real mystery. Some time ago someone on here mentioned wearing a jacket over a Levi jacket (can't remember why). So I tried this with my Raider jacket. The ride up of the Wested at the front was then very evident. So the Levi jacket has an extra inch??. The Levi jacket looks ri...

Thanks for the advice so far everyone. I agree about the wiping of the leather (and then good old Pecards - which did a wonderful job in rejuvenating the 12 year old, previously untreated A2) - but really it's the fabric cuffs and waist band that probably only need cleaning.... Do you think I could ...

Dear All, In my case this specifically refers to a 12 year old A2 jacket I have, but it will be of interest to owners of any leather jacket. We all know the attraction and desirability of a well worn jacket - but do we really want to put up with a grubby (dirty) jacket? My real interest is that the ...

Actually I don't think the handwarmer pockets are very useful at all. What are they for? Do they warm hands? I certainly wouldn't store anything valuable in them (like a wallet) because I suspect things fall out of them rather easily. The "main" pockets are much more useful and secure! The...

Will Pecards swell (enlarge) my jacket?

Dear All, I am about to apply some Pecards Antique Dressing to my Wested Raider and also to a 12 year old A2 (both goat).
