Like most “Men of a Certain Age” I came of age at a perfect time to be bit by the Indiana Jones bug. Seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark at age 10 set me on many an adventure through the woods with a khaki safari hat and jump rope whip.
Through the 80s I put together many close enough outfits and in the mid-90s I used IndyGear to find vendors for my first “real” gear purchases, a Webley holster and MKVII satchel and in 2000 my Bride gifted me a Wested jacket, all of which I still have today.
In college I started the tradition of watching Raiders the night before classes began as a “pre-semester psyche up,” a tradition I have continued to the present day.
The release of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull brought me back to IndyGear and Club Obi Wan. I have chased the fortune and glory of props and gear mixing and matching gear pieces from across the movies to meet my tastes. I returned to COW for the gear, but most definitely have stayed for the people.
