Those soles actually look pretty good - I like them better than the clunky looking vibram soles I have seen on the 64's. I think they are Indyesque enough! Good find.

Good find. I really like Timberland's. They look pretty good and much more palatable on the bank account!

I have Timberlands too. They are very comfy and you can change their color easily. You can also glue a few wooden cylinders inside the heel holes to harden them.

My new finding:
Theese are exact copy of American II WW infantry boots. Mady in Germany by STURM. As far as I am concerned - strong and solid.

Perhaps you should try to contact a few IIWW reenactment groups or military shops in US.
STORM is a popular and high quality reenactment trade-mark in Europe.

Atthefront has good repro boots afaik, I can't remember where they get them though...
