Alternative Aldens?
Hi guys
As a resident of the UK and a big gear head i was looking for some Aldens and found them to be too expensive. As an alternative I have bought a pair of Timberland Workaday boots. here are some picts - I'd welcome any comments you guys may have. I know they are not SA but i reckon they do a job.

Re: Alternative Aldens?
Those soles actually look pretty good - I like them better than the clunky looking vibram soles I have seen on the 64's. I think they are Indyesque enough! Good find.
Re: Alternative Aldens?
Good find. I really like Timberland's. They look pretty good and much more palatable on the bank account!
Re: Alternative Aldens?
I have Timberlands too. They are very comfy and you can change their color easily. You can also glue a few wooden cylinders inside the heel holes to harden them.

My new finding:
Theese are exact copy of American II WW infantry boots. Mady in Germany by STURM. As far as I am concerned - strong and solid.

They sell wholesale only.
Re: Alternative Aldens?
Perhaps you should try to contact a few IIWW reenactment groups or military shops in US.
