DIY kid's Indy Jacket.

Post by Tron7960 »

I had an old "flight jacket circa 1987 that I purchased new. It was neither an Indy jacket nor an A-2 but served me well until I could find the real things.

I kept it not out of sentiment, but with the idea that it could be "frankenstiened" into a great kids play jacket. I chopped it up, shortening the sleeves and removing the elastic waist. I plan on re-sizing and re-positioning the pockets so I can shorten it further, but it's good enough for the premier on the 22nd. After that it will join the box of play clothes!

Thanks Indiana G.

148 views and only one response. I was thinking it can't be that bad.

Or maybe just uninteresting.

Here's a pic of the jacket at the theatre.

That's it, hook'em while they're young.

Hah, I would have never of thought of a kid's Marion costume before.

Nice work on the jacket, man!

Nice Work! I've been thinking of doing the same thing but I haven't found the right base jacket at the thrift store yet! Well not for what I want to pay to cut up yet, but I'll keep looking.
