Some whip cracking stills

Post by bearbeast »

I already posted some pictures of my weekend adventures in the scrapbook section, but I thought the whip cracking stills would fit better here.

My wife was the photographer and managed to get some nice shots of me cracking my whip.

That's great! I wish I had a big open space like that nearby. I bet it echoes wonderfully. The space I used to use is not so great anymore as Florida becomes infeste....I mean filled with snowbirds this time of year :D Everywhere I go there's people saying "what's that! What are you doing?"
Actually the northerners are great for the economy which is so important.

Thanks, IndianaJustin! Well, I am also short on places where I can crack my whip in peace, without disturbing anyone... I have a forrest on the outskirts of my town, but there are cyclists, joggers and dog-walkers there... Not ideal.

This nice place was not exactly handy... Around a 70 km drive and 25 minute hike. ](*,)

But I usually have a whip with me wherever I go, just in the hopes I will find a place where I can crack it!

Awesome photos! Great location!

Do you have a video as well? What whip did you use?

Thank you so much! No video unfortunately, it was getting a bit late and we had to head down before dark, so we just got a few hurried shots.

I used my latest whip:

It's one that I did not realize the leather was beige and not natural colour until I finished the overlay. Now I am using it as much as possible to at least test the limits of my whips. :rolling:

Thank you, Croft!

Yeah, it's fun and it's always tricky, so you need a lot of shots to catch the whip mid-crack, but it makes for a cool photo!
