I guess none of us learned a lesson from watching Raiders a few million times (or we can't resist clicking blind links). As an antidote for the horror, I had to buy one of these:
Okay, I actually ordered it yesterday, but still: Ahh... soothing relief!

Good Lord help us all!!!! Can you even call that thing a hat??? It looks like something the cat might want to go to the bathroom in when you're travelling!!!

Even though I am the one guilty for posting this 'tragedy-of-a-hat' to this site, I agree, enough is enough -- but you have to admit, this thing is weird. However, one point -- you have to admit that Magnoli was correct too, and his comment says it all -- " The ad says "Fold it, stick it in your pocket, and travel..." nowhere does it say to wear it. Well...for once, DP's don't look soooo bad, after all ! Now, if that is not scarry , then I don't know what is ! And, you know the truly scary part about all of this; there are probably folks who have purchased this ! W>
Take it and bury it in the desert for a thousand years and somebody may consider it priceless. It certainly couldn't look any worse ! ( I'm sorry, couldn't resist).

What's ironic is Worth and Worth was one of the premier hat sellers who sold 'close enough' high end felt fedoras for the hobby, specifically the "Allegro", and were linked to Indyfan.com back in the mid 90's.

Got me! I had an "Allegro" and it was a nice hat -- not really that much of an 'Indy', but darned nice hat. I am like you here, I cannot fathom, in my 'wildest of imaginations', what or where they are (attempting to) head(ing)! Got to admit -- it is truly of interest (in the most bizarre of senses) to see just what they will come up with next , after all -- everyone needs a good shock or 'fright' moment from time-to-time and these certainly provide this for us !
