Kudos to the Christians for their truly Christian attitude. If more of us were like this we would live in a wonderful world indeed.tekors wrote:Egyptian christians protecting their fellow muslims while they are praying

"made it safely to Beirut" isn't a phrase I expected to ever say...
I'll join in with the drinks to offer a toast to your safety and to the well-being of the Egyptians.![]()
Best wishes,

Cool Holt...Indiana Holt wrote:Great deal.
the dark brown soft goat sould be very much like the color in your bottom picture.
Yes, my favourite... very excited to have it.Indiana Holt wrote:so, your going for a raiders this time?
Hmmm... any thread here with the pics of this jacket???Indiana Holt wrote:Thanks dude. you hve seen my goatskin wested? it is even better then the lamb. stronger and better constructed. I asked wested to reinforce the jacket from the inside. they did. it is extremely well made.
Holt,Indiana Holt wrote:be carefull with the sandpapering tho. it can rip the sewing thread. i would just soak it and wear it. a good hot soak will kill the shine and make it look really nice and worn in.
Good point M.Michaelson wrote:Just a word to the wise....don't go TOO overboard on this. All I said was be sure to tell them to make it strong.
As I understand this, Wested is replacing your jacket on their dime, right? Don't overdo and make them regret their gracious offer. If you're paying for it, well and good, but if not.....well, you may want to let this be your last request and let the cards fall as they may now.
Just a suggestion. If they incorporate all your requested points above, you'll have a very nice jacket indeed.![]()

Aha, I understand... well, I was planning the cold water shower and then natural drying, no hot air.Indiana Holt wrote:it doesn't really matter wheter its cold or not. the point is getting the leather fibers wet and when the skin dries the fibers tighten up and shrink alittle. the only thing you do NOT want to do is to speed dry it with hot air or something. that you will regret.
you actually do not need to use pecards right away on a goatskin. the jacket will tell you when she needs the pecards. I like to pecard my jackets once a year. the goatskin will be pecarded once every 3rd year or something. goat is REALLY hardwearing. I have seen a 60 year old goatskin jacket that looked brand new compared to a 60 yeard old cowhide.

I told Peter your advise was the reinforce and make it strong, not the list I post it.
I am paying for it, with a discount. I don't mind paying more, as long as I have the specs I need. Peter has his work and he has the right to ask the amount for it, that's fair.![]()
Will call Peter tomorrow to make sure he is ok with it. If needed, I will pay the price he ask for this requirements. As we say in Brazil, what is right is right!!!![]()
Thanks for pointing this out M.![]()
