Ummmm....John....the answer WAS posted....if you were under the impression you were on the list, if you were told you were on the list but aren't certain any longer, if you know you are on the list but want to double-check....

The answer is the same....

They're working nearly 'round the clock these days. If you give them a call...if anyone with a concern will just give them a call...you will find the answers you seek.

That's about as much of a blanket answer that can be given to the myriad concerns coming to light.

If you want to know beyond a doubt....you're gonna have to call them.

It really doesn't have to be more complicated than that....does it?

I had placed my order via phone when the jacket first was offered. Order was placed. A lot of things have changed since then. I was told to wait until they came in and I would be contacted. Now it seems they are out of the SL and the jacket will be more $$$$$$

I don't see the problem of talking to sarg. Here. Since he is posting here. Do you?

If all that's true, and I can only assume it must be, and your concern is really receiving your jacket, then I still say the best method is direct contact with the man himself to re-confirm.

The answer for anyone with a concern about receiving their jacket, if they are REALLY interested in receiving the jacket, is to do what I would do if I was awaiting a jacket I had laid down money for....to just talk directly to the man selling them.

This is not about anyone here having a problem with you asking the question or talking to Sarge or anyone else here. The problem seems to be you don't like the answers you're receiving, or the answers you're receiving aren't achieving your desired ends.

Whichever it is, all I can personally say with any certainty is that ANYONE who REALLY wants to know the status of their imported SL Legend jacket order, had best call and talk directly to him. If MY money was on the line (and for anyone who is concerned, I am NOT getting one of these jackets for myself), I'd want to make absolutely certain the jacket was coming or receive a refund.

If I want to know if the waiter spit in my soup, I go and ask him. Whether he tells the truth or not, I'll know. And I'll either eat the soup or I won't.

Simple as that.

Well, we are all excited about the SL Legend and for good reason! It's a great jacket! Now I was never on a list and just placed my order on the website paying full price and shipping. So far my shipping has been refunded and I'm sure the $100.00 will come soon as well.

When I get the jacket, I get the jacket. Hey I'm still waiting for my AB Deluxe and I'm sure that will be worth the wait too.

The reality is Sarge and the gang are moving things along 7 days a week. With all the phone calls e-mails and a million other things he's doing, he still post here.

That is amazing if you ask me! What is more amazing is 100.00 discount! Really, who does that these days? and look at all the trouble they go through to get that done for us. It takes time away from there day. Time is money.

I don't know of any other vendor who does such a high discount and we have some great vendors here! In the end will everyone be happy? Maybe not, but it wont be because a lack of effort or honorable intentions.

I just don't want to see excitement turn to stress with the great people we have here. Especially when were dealing with a top shelf outfit like USWings. Sarge is not some guy in the shadows, that we don't know about. He is a a straight shooter and will take care of us.

Now we all know this, and just have to be patient. okay, I'm getting off the soap box now..

It is 6:00 AM here in Hudson Ohio and we have been and will be working 18 hours a day 7 Days a week up until X-Mas .... we are sold out of all our striated lamb being made off shore and it is not even the first of Dec. The Good news is that as of this date we are not sold out of the USA Made Striated Lamb and will still offer the $ 100.00 discount to COW members until these are all sold out and when that happens they are gone until I can find some more Striated Lamb and I have no clue what the new price will be.
I will start shipping the USA Union made striated lamb the 15th of Dec. until they are all gone.! Please e-mail us with any questions. Our Kids Legend old cow will start shipping late next week.. COW price is only $ 75.00 if you order tomorrow the shipping is free and outside the USA 50 % off..

Hey Sarge, is this the correct kids jacket for 75.00, item number Item#: KLGNDCH?

Okay... Yes I said that I would sell the Kids Little Indy Legend for $ 75.00 plus shipping and that is a 50 % discount for COW members only.. Yes I made that statement and guess what.. They all went out via UPS this date.. WOW what a blast.. These Little Legends look SA you would think HF was wearing them Now that is exciting.. Guys and Gals X-Mas is all about our Kids.. Not us!! I know You don't have a clue about what kind of a deal this is nor do you care it is all about Friendship.. When you see them you then will understand where I am coming from.
Now to answer the SL question.. I have more SL leather coming and will have more jackets made and yes we now have a bunch of new customers that wish to be placed on the list and yes we will take care of them also.. Now for the 3rd question.. Horsehide.. I hope so but right now my plate is full and I must take care of a lot of familes that can't ask how much! This is my time of the year when I do what I can for those that can not.

Me, too! Can't wait to see my kids' faces on Christmas morning!

You know, guys...Sarge turned down a lot of people who wanted these kids' jackets (at MORE than full price, too) to be able to provide them to us for our kids (at the half-price discount, to boot).

I know he'll take care of those other people in some other way, but...thanks so much, Sarge!

You and all the Fans will love these little Indy Legend Jackets.. I used that old 30 year old leather and each and everyone of them are hand made..
I really like them a lot and know all of our Little COW members will feel the same as I do.. The Jacket is made on the same Pattern Raiders style that will no doubt be in the family for years to come! Just do me one big favor.. Please don't tell anyone how much you paid.

Hi Sarge,

Are reffering to the production of more Import jackets with the new batch of SL leather?

I'd still really like to get an Import model in SL (call me crazy, but, I like the look and price of the imports better than the US version)

I will try and answer the question the best I can where everyone will understand.. I will give $ 100.00 off the new price.. I can not pay anyone to wear our jackets and I am sure you can understand that.. meaning the SL has a Import price tag of $ 395.00 and i give COW members $ 100.off you end up paying for the Import SL $ 295.00 US Made $ 495. with a $ 100.00 discount you pay $ 395.00 There is nothing I can do about the price of Leather and I know for a fact it is going up even more But here is some very good news for COW members and Indy Fans that just love the Hobby as I do... all of our Indy-Style Jackets made in the USA I will give $ 100.00 discount off the Reg. price in the Month of Dec.( while they last!!) I have 500 in stock.. Like IndyDawg said today I will take care of my Friends! Any Indy-Style Jacket made in the USA no matter what kind of leather will receive $ 100.00 off the Reg. price and I will also post that in my Dec. sale page and send out a newsletter to that statement...

Thanks for the response. I ask about the Horsehide because I hear great things about it. I know initially I had heard it would be US made but then I saw it posted on the US Wings site as an import. I am wondering if you are going to produce it because it will impact my decision with the SL. ie. if no horsehide is coming then perhaps I should consider the lamb you are offering before they are sold out.
best amd again thanks.

It's equal to or above tensile strength to horsehide, it's hard to get hold of, and the grain just out of this world.

I had the opportunity to examine this leather first hand when visiting Jackson Hole, WY a few years ago, and the examples I saw just made me drool. =P~

Wonderful stuff, and one of those 'man, if only someone would make one of these jackets in this hide we could afford' type materials that I always dreamed of, but never voiced, as it just wasn't out there.

Now it is.

Is Bison a particularly expensive hide to work with? Also, it may have just been the photos but the colour did not look even to me. It really is a great looking hide though.

That I can't answer to, Gary. I'm sure David will chime in with an answer for you. I don't seen why it would be more 'expensive' to work with. It's still just leather. I've seen the photos, and from the bison hide I've handled myself, it's how the hides tend to finish out when tanned.

What I do know is that access to American bison leather has been limited for quite a few years due to the fact the bison was an endangered species for such a long time. The fact they're now farm raised for meat is what offers jacket makers access to this hide to make jackets and like items for potential customers. It's still limited, but at least it's available.

Well, that's just my luck. I can't order the USA SL Legend Lamb until after I get my tax returns. I just don't have the money right now. So, from what I'm reading that probably means by the time I do they will be sold out and then I'll have to wait until Sarge and the staff kind find more SL skins and then who knows what the price is going to be. :? ](*,)

Don't know If Myke will be able to put it up before X-Mas or not!! Best thing to do is send Him a e-mail through our main e-mail address info@uswings.com and ask Him what Size He thinks you should take!I think we have a full plate and out of time and just about working around the clock to fill the orders we have in hand before X-Mas... I know we have been asking the Fans to send us questions via e-mail and we would answer them the best we could! I know the Legend is a US Military Cut and that is for sure..

Well I've been PMing Sarge about sizing, and he was very helpful. Then for kicks I went to the Wing web site and low and behold the SL import was there, Bang, I bought one. Then PM'd Sarge to let him know.

His response (and one he said was ok to post):
Hello Bruce,
I think you will really like the Import! I love the one I wear a lot But fell in love with the new Bison but that is another story! One thing you and all the Fans should be aware of is as of this Jan. 1st 2011 there will be a price adjustment and we will no longer be able to offer COW the $ 100.00 discounts .... With the price increase of Leather we must bring an end to that offer.. So looks like you just saved $ 100.00.There really is not much I can do about that either.. You may post my words!
Regards,
Sgt. Hack

So now thats what I call a "Message from Sarge.....
I'm so stoked.

Yep, a spec-list like the one for the Signature Series Indy jackets, would be much appreciated. It's very detailed and has all the info
a measurementaholic like me could ever need!
Since they're not custom made, the measurements for each respective size should be readily available.
I can't imagine I'd order an off-the-rack jacket without knowing exactly (tolerances aside) what the sleeve length would be, for example..

I fully understand and that is why for the past month we has posted to e-mail us and we would help with any and all information about our Legend Indy-Style Jacket! I am sorry US Wings will not post on our site the Legend Pattern nor will we post in writting the information about the measurements of the Neil Cooper Legend Pattern. As most are aware This Pattern has not been used for 30 years and I Know that some people out there will copy it but why make it easy for the world to do.. We have no problem selling this Jacket just the way it is and have not had one customer return it for a refund.. Fact.

One Fact, I know from experience with USWINGS is they are very helpful and will take the time to answer any question you have. This is especiially hard to do this time of year but they do it. I have bought several jackets from them recently. Two are on there way and I have one in hand, a horsehide A2. The jacket is superb in every way. When I called about questions about the A2, I spoke with Rita.

She went and picked up a jacket, brought it back to her desk and starting answering specific questions for which there was a lot.

She was patient, informative, and knew what she was talking about. She is not the only person I have dealt with either. The point is their customer service is what brings me back for more!

I think, you will find the same kevin if you give them a call. They are a top shelf outfit!

Thanks for this message from Sarge. Quick follow up question about the Legend Horsehide....If we are on the list for that jacket and it is not made what happens to us? If a decision on this jacket is made after January then it might be too late to get another jacket with the generous wings discount. If the Legend HH is not made is the $100 discount applicable to other jackets on the Wings website? I hear great things about their horsehide.
Thanks!
Canada
