So, alittle update..

I have been wearing this jacket as much as I could ever since I got it. I have been wearing it mostly in the cooler evenings and rainy days. the rain really brought out some charater in this jacket.

this leather is really something else. I have never seen, felt or smelled such a wonderfull cowhide before. it is the best!!

even though it may not be 100% SA to raiders,..... this HERO jacket is oh so Indy!!!!

(bad quality pics. they are taken with a cell..)

Agreed!! I love this leather. By far and away, my favorite leather from any leather jacket I have owned (6 so far). It makes me wish I could order a made-to-measure jacket in this cowhide. It is so awesome. There are a few places where the leather has more of a darker, glossier finish to it, and incredible grain. I love it. I hope the calf skin Raiders is this nice!

I've been so excited the past few days because it has been under 80 degrees in the morning, so I don't feel so odd wearing it in my jeep to work! Of course the drive home is too warm for it.

The best way I can describe what I love so much about this jacket is that it has a fantastic firmness to it that is sorely missing with lamb jackets, but at the same time, it is so soft and comfortable that it fits like a favorite sweater.

I just love this thing!

I honestly hear that from a lot of people worldwide.. Holt will model the Raiders Neil Cooper and US Wings Jacket when it is released for the First time!!
Of course we will ask... if the others would like to Model the Striated Lamb.. Thick full of stretch marks as seen on our thread... Fans we are getting close.

Anyone know how much more length the Long sizes give on the sleeves?

I sent my small back in because it was too short in the sleeves and a tiny bit tight in the back of the shoulders. But I'm worried that the Medium might wind up too large on me. Now I see that Small Long sizes are available....

Yep, okay, I've seen enough.

Ordering one soonest.

(Like I need ONE more jacket........)

But, what, wait...isn't Halloween coming up soon? Seems my other half said something about us having a costume party.......

Hey, Sarge, I remember once you told me in an email that you carried. When off-duty (are we really ever???) I carry a 1911 in an inside the waist holster. Does this jacket conceal pretty well around the beltline?

You know I carry a 1911 Colt ! Always have and always will ! You will have no problem as long as you come under HR 43 and or CC Lic. and or Active Duty Police officer! You will be okay in our Indy Jacket. Don't think I would run around carrying a 1911 Halloween Night!!

Thanks, Sarge!

I've had no troubles so far with carrying under HR 43. Most officers I've encountered in other jurisdictions, after finding out I'm a cop, too, ask something like "So what're you carrying?".

And you are right, no carrying the 1911 on Halloween. Wouldn't be the Indy thing to do anyway.

Jacket order on the way!

BTW... I thought we were getting a shipment of Indy Hero Cow and Lightweight Lamb this week... Looks like next Wed.
The Inside pocket of the Indy Jacket is a great place for a PPK and or PPKS 380.. My Wife and I would never leave home without one.

So does that mean that if we didn't get a tracking number today, it'll be another 1-2 weeks? Not that I need a jacket in this super-humid 90 degree weather, but still. :D

I got my jacket!!!! It's beautiful! :D But... The shoulders and sleeves fit me perfectly, but I can't zip it up easily! #-o I immediately called Sarge, and we're going to swap it out for a medium and see if that works. My problem is that I have a short but stocky build (I'm around my proper weight), so it's a challenge to find off-the-rack clothing that fits me right. After all, I want a jacket that looks good on ME. ;) When he put Myke on the phone to sort out the exchange, it sounded like Sarge was going through the mediums right then and there to see if he could find a medium on the smaller side that will work for me. I really hope the replacement fits me right, because I like this jacket! [-o<

This is what I can say about what I currently have in my hands. This jacket is very well made. If the upcoming Neil Cooper jackets are made this well, they'll be a home run! This is a solid garment ready for action. I can only echo what's been said about this leather, as it's really something special. It's got a great feel and lots of character. This jacket will distress beautifully just by wearing it, and it already looks broken in. It's easy to see why folks drool over this leather. While there may be one or two things that will drive stitch counters bonkers with this particular pattern (like the back panel, as has been discussed ad nauseum), it really does exude the spirit of Indy. I'm not a stitch counter, but I like a jacket that looks good. This one looks fantastic. I just hope the medium looks as good on me as Weston's does on him!
