...I'm getting that 'general Indy vibe' too! Let's cue the 'Raiders March' and 'Christy it up', what do you say? ...we'll show 'em!alphared6 wrote:I think it looks great!
Now there's an idea....I was actually thinking the brim was a bit wide, but wasn't sure if I was just over compensating for the fact that I've been wearing a trilby hat with a 1" brim lately....DR Ulloa wrote:Jlee, I would trim 1/8'', maybe 1/4'' off the brim. I think its too wide for your face. Otherwise, I think the hat looks fine. I like the crease you've put in. It is definately Indy.

Thanks Erri...Erri wrote:Good idea ANJALI and great looking hat you've got there! (did you buy every colour of their catalogue?)
Can you post a pic of the top of the hat while its on your head?ANJALI wrote:Hi, fan of christy's
Just want to show you a new colour : maize
I asked to "Hornets" if it was possible to produce these hats with a better felt (a little bit more thick and specially dense). They pass the message on Christy...Hope, I will be heard.

The current Christys' felt is the seems to be perfect as it is
There've been so many hats that have been "improved" that the Christys seems one of the few left that comes on the right felt as it is.
Bashing would probably cost more if they do offer the service, but you don't really need it with the Christys; it is very easy to shape. The brim is a little stiff at the beginning, but softens nicely with use.backstagejack wrote:Will they bash it for you or is it not recommended? I"m looking for the best LC fedora out there and this was suggested...what options will Christys give?
I love the way this hat fits...the way the brim is styled reminds me alot of how Sean Patrick Flannery had his fedora in some of the later young indy flicks.......did you get christy's to specifically cut your brim to certain specs, or is it their specs?ANJALI wrote:
That´s interesting, I knew they would do special brim and ribbon requests for you but never heard of other crown specs. Do you have an example?backstagejack wrote:i heard that they will alter, brim, AND crown specs for customers...
