Picked this up on ebay for £30 and its my first ever Indy jacket
The jacket i9snt band new so it comes with some weathering already done and looks like a jacket thats been worn by someone whos been dragged behind a Nazi truck
strange really it just seems to be the collar thats in that state the rest of the jacket is fine but iv ordered some pecard so il apply it as soon as it arrives.
do you just apply it with your fingers straight from the tub?
Well it says its a 38 and im a chest 38 so it fits but it feels a little bit on the small side, Il get some pics taken with the jacket on and see what you guys think. By the way the buckles on the storm flaps are they meant to be done up or left loose?
Great find! Wear it in good health . . . and adventuring. Definitely use that Pecards. It's great for all your leather items. I am definitely leaning toward another jacket for my next gear purchase . . .which I will set on fire if Holt advises me to do so.
If you are going to have it cleaned I think I might apply the dressing first, then again after you get it back. Leather cleaning can dry out leather and I don't think you want the jacket any dryer than it looks now.
Regarding Pecards: Don't bother with the soft cloth. Michaelson recommended years ago just to use your hands to apply the dressing. That way you can feel the areas that need more or less dressing while being cautious not to over-apply. I've been doing that with my jackets, whips and leather gear for years now (thanks Michaelson) and it works great! Congrats on your jacket by the way! The Expedition is tough as nails and will last you a LONG time!

Nope it was bought from a UK seller...which is great because im in the UK too .ordered a tub of Pecards so il apply that when it arrives, the collar really needs it!!
It is fantastic. I can't help but love the colour. My Expedition, no matter what lighting, never looks that lovely and brown, more
a very dark brown, nearly black.
What a great find!
