....but you may see an AB on a well known star. Yep, I am making one in beaver for the guy. Out of fear of him canceling the order, I cannot say who it is. And out of common courtesy, mostly. Now I have to buy the National Enquirer to watch for photos!! It is simply amazing what making Indy fedoras and being number one in the indy fedora search on MSN will do for you!! Now, if I can just get listed on Google!! What I found strange is he wanted me not to give out his head size!!! Yes, sir, anything you say. I will frame the paypal printout!! So, if you want to join in the fun, watch out for an AB on a star's head. If you spot it, I will have to say, yes, and I think this will not be a problem for me to do so. Oh, he paid the full price!! Fedora
Yeah, it is horrible to know something and not be able to tell the whole story. I should have kept it to myself!! So, I tilltilate, and that can be odious, I know. Sorry guys, but I just had to brag. I could not help myself!! Fedora
At first, I figure that Depp wasn't into an Indy style fed, but not giving out his head size kinda goes with the odd and unpredictable man. But then if it is Depp, what is he doing browsing for an Indy fed?
MY second guess is Lucas. What goes great with flannel? A fed, of course
Speilberg and Ford, while both famous won't make their way into tabloids. Ford won't until he films another hit and Speilberg usually just shows up only when filming.
The guy from Mythbusters i dont know if he would even be considered a 'well know star.' but then again i could be wrong. anywho congrats steve, thats awesome that someone famous is buying one of your amaizing lids. I cant wait to find out who it is.
Who said it was an Indy fedora??? The bow on the ribbon will be the clue. You guys who own my hats know what my bow looks like. This one will have the Indy bow. Fedora

I don't know anybody else who wears a fedora, besides Johnny Depp.
He got no special treatment!! The current lag period is around 2 weeks, after I get what I have in now, out of the door. So, if you ordered a hat and it has been over two weeks since you placed the order, fear not. It will be there soon. I have had a bit of a backup in hats. People, for some reason order in spurts. When that happens, it takes a bit longer to get them out. Fedora
I'm going in a different direction. Dr. Hawass needs a new lid. Possibly Mr. Bernstein as well. I guess we'll never see them in the tabloids so maybe that is the wrong direction.
Great, now I figure that those of us planning on a second (or third, or....?) Adventurebilt had better get our orders in before you go and turn Hollywood-famous on us.
Congratulations! This will be interesting to follow.

I doubt it. Hawass is always trying really hard to distance himself as an archaeologist from Indiana Jones, so I don't think he'd be very eager to order from a hatmaker whose claim to fame is making the best Indy hat currently in existence.
If I were a betting man, I'd say Depp, although it could be almost anybody. There's alot of stars out there. :junior: -IJ
I hesitate to join in on the speculation, but if I were to bet on who it was, I would say, Robert Redford. He is a hat wearer and the discerning sort. I could see him at Sundance with one of Fedora's lids.
Okay, I am thoroughly confused. My first thought was Josh Bernstein, but he probably wouldn't be in the tabloids. Then I thought maybe it was someone involved in the production of Indy IV, possibly scouting out a source for the hats for the new movie. But then Fedora made the comment that it may not be an Indy fedora, so that would rule that out. So, who knows? (except for Steve)
Anyway, I think it is really cool, no matter who it turns out to be. I hope it is a first step towards Steve making the hats for Indy IV. He gets my vote.
Where's my sunglasses? Oh, let's do lunch sometimes. Nope, I am just a simple Indy fan. You can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy. Heck, he is just another mortal, a lucky mortal, I might add. Nothing more. I will say, if it had been anyone remotely linked to the Indy films, I would have given the hat to him. Since, he is not hooked up(to my knowledge) with my favorite character, I could care less. That is the truth. Kinda, sorta. Fedora
Indiana_Tone wrote:Hmm. Brad Pitt just mentioned he wanted one. Didn't realize he was going to order so soon.
Yeah, when he said tabloid, that immediately made me think of Pitt. Depp owned/owns the club that River Phoenix died outside of, so that's sort of an Indy link but a dead link at that (no pun intended). Man if Pitt or Depp, I gotta say Wow...I used to have their pics hanging in my room (Depp when I was in junior high and Pitt in college). We know it's not Ford. The other tabloid guesses would be Russell Crowe and Jude Law. I could see Jude with a fedora, but I'm not sure if I'd see Crowe out sporting one in public.
Fedora, I take it the buyer doesn't come to COW. Did he just do a search on the internet and stumble upon you? Or was he recommended by someone to you?
Quality vendors who are fair, honest, & hard-working at their craft, such as Steve/Fedora here, truly deserve their honor of recognition and place in the sun. And, we all know that Steve truly deserves this recognition indeed!
May we raise our glasses in a toast to Steve's remarkable accomplishments, and future accomplishments to come! Here! Here!
Congratulations, Steve! That is really cool! It's always amazing to me the slow and methodical chain of events that lead to a moment like this. We never even recognize them at the time, and then suddenly BOOM! You get a hit like this! Gotta love it! Continued success, man!

Where did that come from? Do you know something we don't? Might you be the "friend" or know the "friend". I'm having too much fun with this, can you see?
Speculative BSetry at its most speculative, I guess.
Congratulations, Steve !
I'm sure your family is pleased and proud of you as well.
This is yet another testament to your enthusiastic dedication to your craft and your sincere desire to delight each and every one of your customers (and fellow Indiana Jones fans).
Steve, how could you even think to retirement now that your name is getting more and more famous to rise the interest of the Stars!
Soon you'll be the immortal vintage hatmaker. YOu cannot stop STEVE!!!! HANG ON and you'll see that you could even receive a phone call from a famous director saying to supply hats for a famous 4th sequel of a famous trilogy!
You know you've have had this thread on your mind when you start dreaming about the celebrity wearing the AB hat. And the celebrity I was dreaming of???It wasn't male.....which makes all our guesses incorrect.
