Re: Who makes the Toughest Raiders?
Thanks everyone! Lol looks like I will be getting at least 2 or 3 jackets now. Thinking US wings sig series for winter. Then a yet to be determined summer fall version...goat or maybe even lamb after seeing Gmans and Grekos. So much for having only one. Next discussion will need to be on how to just...

Here are a few more shots. I took them indoors as the lighting in my kitchen was better than the thunderstorm outside. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... 094828.jpg http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/" onclick="window.o...

Re: Who makes the Toughest Raiders?
...Y....'roo hide..? Isn't it just a bigger rabbit? :P There are a few things to consider with your purchase. A jacket (or anything for that matter) is only as strong as its weakest point, and that would be thread, stitching. If the seams and stitching were internal and not external, then you would...

Re: Who makes the Toughest Raiders?
Well, just as a point of information, I was one of those 3 people involved with the creation of the G&B Expedition back in 2000-01 they mention in the write-up on their company page. I've owned several over the years, and still have 2 of the prototypes in my closet that I wear on occasion. I lo...

Re: Who makes the Toughest Raiders?
You'll get the closest to lamb you can get in terms of texture and drape, a good cut for a ROLA jacket, and and a far stronger leather for real world wear. In fact, I sold the USW Bison in order to fund the purchase of a G&B Expo in goat. Indiana Jeff How has your goat held up? In terms of brea...

Re: stripping a leather jacket
Leave it out in a well ventilated area and give it a chance to air out first. Maybe try taking a clean cotton cloth and wipe the jacket down to remove any excess. I would leave washing it as an absolute last resort. Regards, Indiana Jeff Problem is that it's already been 2 months Since i applied it...

Re: Which ONE of these best represts the Raiders jacket?
Now all that said, that does NOT take into account durability or price, real world factors that make a difference. But if you're trying to match what you see on screen, that's my list. :TOH: So then shouldn't there be 3 more polls? 1 for durability 1 for cost 1 for which would Indy have chosen cons...

Re: Shrunken Lamb questiones
I can't speak to Wested's shrunken lamb, but lamb skin in general is apt to get torn if you give it a good yank or it snags on something. If this is a concern, look at a tougher hide such as cow or goat. I will say, though, that the Indy jacket looks and wears best when it is made out of lamb skin,...

Shrunken Lamb questiones
I am working towards my first Indy Raiders Jacket. Been reading quite a bit between here and the Indy Lounge. Lots of info More confused than not... Im leaning towards the shrunken Lamb "hero" from Wested, but was curious. Is the Shrunken striated lamb stronger or less tear resistant than ...
