cliffhanger, you just said it - the venice look . Thats what we're looking for. The side ares exceptionally 'high' here - particularly for the back part. This makes the hat looking like a dress hat in the best sense of this word. It also has this sharp cut which is smaller than 90 degree above the e...

I always kinda liked your Alpine. The colour can't be guessed out of the pictures but on most of the ones that show HJ's it's just what I link with Indy. It also seems to have a little structure into itself. Looks great, and a nice brim swoop!! As you are mentioning that some odd bashing questions c...

Neolithic, just measured my feet. 29.5cm x 10 cm  Can that be? Claiming this I can't understand a 10D fits me. Maybe the D is right... But as far as I understand you your problem is the width - not the lenght? What we would need here is a listing of the sole measurements for the several sizes...

This sounds kinda mysterious - it is. The idea Indy's hat is a vintage Stetson sounds not that wrong. I think at least one original HJ must have served in ROTLA but sometimes I really have the feeling I see another felt on that hats. (and I don't mean the grey one) That could explain some things. Ar...

Fabian, they are approximately 318mm x 125mm. I can give you my actual foot measurement if that helps you. 8) If thats accurate a 10D is JUST my size! Thanks very much for your help. It would be good indeed to have your foot measurements too to guess the effective 'room' in the shoe. Regards, Fabian

Oh my God, simply nice. The color looks more reddish than I thought actually. I've never seen the sole of the new Aldens too. This is helping me alot, to know that you can go down the size for a half number because I am in the same process atm. Would it be possible for you to provide the exact measu...

Awesome! Ever played an old 2D-adventure? As player a great part of your job is finding 'animated' parts of the pictures. They must be part of the puzzle because only they can be moved. Beside that Fed the raw Beaver Felt Body looks like such an animated item - really in the world, really touchable....

Thank you very much for the pictures. The brown really seems to be a little bit too light to fit the movie color. But those are some fine shoes. They will become more authentic with wearing. I think now I am fine with purchasing some too. If you don't mind I repost the pictures here. http://www.free...

I heard the Aldens always change a little bit every January. The new hide shall be brown with a little bit red in it.

_, as I am currently considering buying one of those new Aldens I am looking for pics of them, especially of the color. I am sorta annoyed by JohnDys recent thread in which he argues about the color. It would be great if you could post some pictures, closeups here or send them to me by mail. Compari...

Not by them as I was supposed to offer a proper Raiders block what I couldn't manage. If anyone of you gearheads in the US have something that you call perfect Raiders-shape block send it to them. Chuck will be pleased to duplicate it and adding a new offer to his vault. PM me if so - I will answer ...

IndianaFist, Chuck answered on your idea: In responce to IndiansFist (the thermoformer): He has an excellent point. If you could get a good solid repo from Steve's block it would be better than a thermoformed shap like we make. Hydrostone would be great. I suggest sealing it with a good 2 part epoxy...

Fabian, Interesting banter.. We'll (my son and I) have to make a better block and dress up in real Indy Gear for a new photo. Steve's proposal for blocks in several sizes is very reasonable. We could even put some links to your user group if thing work out. Yes, the Hat Shapers are thermoformed ABS...

A position I can understand very well. I don't know how they can deal with specs because their last answer is two days old. In fact I would be kinda surprised if the forms could be treated as exact as we are asking. But who knows - maybe I am currently waiting for the first shots of a real baby. Fab...

I think I am allowed to quote this sentences of one of the hatshapers contact last mails: I do not recommend cutting off the base/brim.... the shaper loses some of its structural integrity. If you do or whomever does remove it... Please, put some type of structure on the inside to give it support......

Great news on this. Yesterday I wrote some mails to them asking for more pics and explained what I wanted to see. They instantly replied and asked for the specs of the block I'd need and said that there would be no problem making a completely custom block to my likings, eventually add it to their pr...

Not sure whether that one may be considered for your purpose.

You'd have to ask some questions via E-Mail for it has to fit several specs. Just do a search on 'block' on this Forum.

When he said sweatband he meant liner all the time. :) He ironed it and wants to reattach it now. But for the Akubra crafters used glue he wants to do so too and asks which he should use. I'd say just follow Marcs little tutorial and don't use glue for it's really a threat to the felt if you have to...
