Re: Harrison Ford's M1 Carbine Used in Crystal Skull
Hey Michaelson,
Take that 30 carbine round and put it in a Ruger Blackhawk. The wildest thing I ever shot. Recoil
like a .357 Mag. shock wave peels your eyelids open, feels like you get hit in the face with a pillow and
you can feel the ground in front shake. WILD!!!!!!

Re: Harrison Ford's M1 Carbine Used in Crystal Skull
It appears to me that the top picture of Harrison Ford shows a selector switch at the front of the receiver
which would mean his was an M2 carbine. The one in the other pictures shows an M1 carbine. I could be wrong.

Re: Webley Mk VI
When I can't lay my hands on auto rim ammo I shoot .45 A.C.P. with no signs of overloads.
I don't use any hollow point or PlusP loads, just std. 230 grain. Going on the assumption that
your MKVI is in good condition you should have no problems.

Re: Handgun Suggestions [For a Literary Project]
About a thousand years ago when I did some P.I.work, I was often called upon to do body guard duties. Depending on my mode of dress, I would often carry the Colt Detetective Special in my coat pocket. This was to keep the bad guy busy till I could get the 1911 Colt from my waist band or shoulder hol...

Re: What kind of pistol is this?
Are there any markings on the frame of the revolver? If this was made by a reputable company, I would expect them to mark the frame somewhere. Over the years I have seen many poor quality copies from Spain, Belgium, and the middle east trying to look like British firearms. I am suspicious of your exa...

Re: S & W Blank Ammo
There are more companies making .45 Auto rim now then 15 years ago. You still will not find it at most stores that sell ammo. As far as using primed brass, it is normally necessary to drill out the primer hole (that which enters the caseing) so that the primer will not back out and jam the cylinder....

.45 auto rim
I have been shooting my 1917s and webleyMkVI exclusely with .45 auto rim for at least 10 yrs. I get a real kick out of dropping those big rounds into the chambers and ejecting them afterword. I have been lucky in finding ammo at shows at decent prices. The rounds are normally loaded with lead bullet...

PPK Bite
The current new U.S. Made PPk has an extended tang on the frame which eliminates the slide or hammer bite. Walther (S&W) has managed to do this without making the pistol overly large. It still conceals well. When I first sarted carrying and shooting 1911s back in the early 1970s, it was accepted...

1 Shot Fired
Generally Smith&Wesson fires at least every other chamber. Sometimes all six. The single empty shell is due to the fact that a couple states require a fired shell be sent to the state police when the handgun is sold. The fired chambers just show that the proper tests were performed before the re...

This goes under the even if you are right your wrong. Are you willing to see your collectors revolver melted down. .45 Auto Rim Ammo
One of the best feelings in the world,is being able to dump 6 big .45 Auto Rim rounds into either a S&W 1917/Hand Ejector or Webley. Both of my revolvers will use half moon clips and .45 A.C.P. but it just feels good to go with those big rimmed cartridges one at a time into each chamber. Most of...

I am talking breaking before you ever fire a shot! The top picture appears to be the .22 cal model. They are normaly not working out of the box. The other model if memory serves is a .32 cal. The most we ever got to fire in those was about 25rds, before breaking The revolvers involved are so not rep...

I have had some experience with both of the blank guns shown. You would be much better off getting a resin copy of the S&W Hand Ejector.

S&W 15 or 28?
If ease of carry is not critical, go with the S&W28. It can use 357 or 38Spl. and is an extremely strong action. The 15 is a nice medium frame 38Spl. only. They both have adjustable sights and are very accurate revolvers. Also a plus would be that the 28 will work very well with the holsters for...

The new U.S. PPK-PPK/S, have the top of the frame extended a bit to form a slight beavertail. This helps to stop the slide from cutting the web of the hand.

If you take concealment out of the picture, then a full size has all the advantages. Capasity, sight radius, velocity, and comfort all increase.
