I know the smaller one is a British Bulldog but I have no idea what the larger one is other than it is a 44 caliber. It looks like it MAY have been a British Officer pistol as well. There is a small crown on the frame near the barrel. I know there are alot of pistol gurus here and thought I'd ask here. They're both in bad shape but DO have some potential to be a nice shelf display. What do these generally go for? Doubt I'll get rid of them as they belonged to my Uncle but ya never know.
The larger one I WAS thinking of converting it to an Indy pistol but have no clue what grips it may need OR parts for that matter.
What kind of pistol is this?

Are there any markings on the frame of the revolver? If this was made by a reputable company, I would
expect them to mark the frame somewhere. Over the years I have seen many poor quality copies from
Spain, Belgium, and the middle east trying to look like British firearms. I am suspicious of
your example.......Terry

Re: What kind of pistol is this?
I don't think it's British. Other than the serial numbers, small crown on the right and .44 on the left there's no sign of markings. It WAS in a fire thus the poor condition of both of them. I doubt very much either of these will see any action but don't have the heart to throw them out. I can whip out the magnifying glass out again but doubt I'll find anything. Just figured other than a gun message board this would be the place to ask. I can clean it up seeing It's really not going to damage anything. Thanks for the input.
Just curious as to WHO made it and a bit more of the History. The Bulldog I was able to find more about and am thinking of cleaning that one up first.

That's not a bad idea at all. It's still considered a firearm so I'd rather it not be taken outside the home at all.

The larger pistol looks like a "Webley Pryse."
There's a super expensive one here...

Which should give you some idea what it should look like when not burnt.
Hope that helps!
