Re: KotCS Backpack (UPDATED thread on Germany Army Rucksack!
Forgive me if this image has been posted previously, but having looked through the hi-res images just posted by lantzn, it looks to me as if the Russian guy on the left side of the shot is sporting the same backpack as our intrepid hero...? What do you guys think? Best Mark Indiana Andrews http://im...

My Indy Gun Collection
Hi to all I recently received my Webley Green revolver that I was lucky enough to buy from a member here. It had to be deactivated else it would have had to ave kept under lock and key and would have cost me stacks for a gun license. However as I only wanted the piece for display purposes, the deac ...

Re: Phone/gun holster?
This is a great project and a surefire winner with us gearheads Wade. Just a thought regarding the strap. Might it be better to have a magnetic fastening on the strap? I know this is not so accurate, but it would be easier to reach the phone in a hurry. Those brass fasteners are #### hard to pull of...

Re: Indy Gear Hanger Display - Egyptian Theme
Hi to all OK guys I know that the display is not as low cost as we would have hoped, but considering the large amount of rubber required to mould the piece and the resin needed for a substantial support, it is not that bad. So far we have 3 interested including myself. Are there any more takers? Bes...

Re: UK work-around
Guys Last weekend I was at the Memorabilia show at the NEC in Birmingham. I purchased an excellent all metal, working, but non-firing Browning replica from a licensed dealer. He also had superb Webley Mk IV revolver replicas too that opened at the breach and were all metal. Ok so not a WG replica, b...

Re: Indy Gear Hanger Display - Egyptian Theme
No takers guys?
I know it's more than I would have liked, but the silicone and resin needed are considerable, so there is little I can do I'm afraid.
No worries if not I'll get on and finish it up for my gear.
Best to all

Re: Indy Gear Hanger Display - Egyptian Theme
Hi Chaps As always thanks for your great and encouraging comments. OK so I have been working out costs to produce these babies as there are a few interested parties. Problem is that this is a big old chunk of resin. The dimensions are quite large and the resin has to be quite thick for strength. Obv...

Re: Indy Gear Hanger Display - Egyptian Theme
Hello everyone It's been a while since my last post, work has taken over my life the past month and a half. Although time has been somewhat limited of late, we have managed to finish up adding texture to the surface of the master for the gear display. The master has been primed in grey ready for mou...

My Delcarpio Raiders & Celeste Dog Leash
Hi to all I thought it was finally about time for me to share some images of my Delcarpio Raiders 10ft whip. I have to admit I am a total whip novice, but Bernardo stepped in and guided me in my selection. He offered great advice and was a real gent to deal with. It is so nice to have formed another...

Re: Indy Gear Hanger Display - Egyptian Theme
Thanks guys!
I was hoping to have the piece in my hands the other day, but sadly the guy could not get it over to me.
It will be here today though.
Then we start beaten the #### outta it! Well not exactly, ageing is an exact science.
More later...

Re: Indy Gear Hanger Display - Egyptian Theme
Hi to all An update for you guys... Well as mentioned in previous posts the plan was to laser engrave the design into wood. However, the process is tricky as the laser tends to burn the wood. So we decided to have a look at alternative materials and have instead created the "master" out of...

Re: Indy Gear Hanger Display - Egyptian Theme
Thanks guys for your continued positive comments and help in nailing the configuration. I am planning for the backboard to have counter sunk keyhole fitments on the reverese to hang it on the wall. I am also working on different designs for the otter movies. These would be much smaller with a single...

Re: Indy Gear Hanger Display - Egyptian Theme
I've printed one out tonight and will take a few snaps tomorrow of it laying on the floor with my gear roughly in place.
Looks great though. I am really pleased with it.
Thanks for all your comments and help with tweaking the design guys, much appreciated.

Re: Indy Gear Hanger Display - Egyptian Theme
Sure Mitch here you go. http://a.imageshack.us/img339/4953/indygearhangeregyptian3.jpg The main problem is that whichever way the hooks are configured, there is always going to be overhang. That is why design version 1 was laid out as it originally was. Problem was of course that this configuration ...

Re: Indy Gear Hanger Display - Egyptian Theme
It sure will be strong enough to hold a jacket on. I would suggest the bottom hook so as not to obscure all of the other gear. However, I lay awake last night thinking of the possible configurations of hanging gear on the display and have revised the design once more. There are still 3 hooks, but th...

OK maboot38 I concede this looks much better... http://a.imageshack.us/img827/4953/indygearhangeregyptian3.jpg I am very happy with the alteration, see what you guys think. 3 hooks: Top Hook - 90mm length for bag and hat Middle Hook - 70mm length for holsters/belts Bottom Hook - 50mm length for whip...

Re: Indy Gear Hanger Display - Egyptian Theme
And yes it is a shame that the design will be covered, but you've gotta have somewhere to hang yer hat don't ya? True, but perhaps an alternative design where the imagery is positioned in such a way that the gear hangs down below it? That way you always see the artwork. Still, this should be a very...

Indy Gear Hanger Display - Egyptian Theme
Hi to all Like the rest of you I am nuts about my gear, but one thing bugs me, just how to display it. The hat, the whip, the bag, the holsters. What do you do with all this stuff? Various members have made framed displays of the gear which look great and another member previewed a wooden display fo...

If my Raiders whip you are making for me Bernardo, looks half as good as this beauty, I'll be a very happy Gearhead!
You are the master craftsman Bernardo.
One day I'll have a whip from all 4 Indy movies... And I know just where to get 'em!
Excitedly

Amazing collection you have there. I take it that you are quite the master with a whip?
Do you collect other gear or props too?
I am awaiting a Delcarpio Raiders 10ft and can't wait. Bernardo is a true craftsman.

Re: Anyone with the Noble Collection Bullwhip?...
Hi to all Perhaps I can help out. I have one of the Noble whips, I managed to snag one real cheap just £70 from a friend who works for NC. The replica is modelled on the KotCS bullwhip not the Raiders Morgan whip, hence the much darker hide. It does crack and has a nice flow when it moves. It's not ...
