What a procrastinator I am! I still have not treated my Jacket.
Does anyone have picks of this jacket after being treated with Pecard's?

Todd's Mk VII
I purchased a bag from Todd's last September. I am very happy with the quality but it was from his run that is "smaller" than the original. How much smaller is this bag than an original Mk VII?

I have had no luck in finding a local vendor here in Western Canada either. I tried some local saddlery shops and whatnot, but to no avail. Looks like I am going to be getting a $35 tub of Pecards also.

Re: Most SA and Real Life durable Raiders Jacket
Bryce, what do you mean by "real world beating?" Are you planning to put your jacket through serious wilderness abuse, or just through everyday urban adventures? Thanks for the replies. I do a lot of hiking, hunting, etc. My family also owns a horse ranch and we do a lot of riding, and br...

Most SA and Real Life durable Raiders Jacket
Well this may wind up causing all sorts of debate, but I want to know the opinion. What is the most screen accurate Raider jacket that can take a real life "Indy" :whip: beating? I am the new guy according to the front page bottom listing and want to try and avoid mistakes again if possibl...

I am going to go for it. Does anyone no if Pecard's can be purchased in Canada. I will order it if I have to but shipping from their site is $20 to Canada. I could by a lifetime supply for my jacket if I could get some closer to home.

I will probably go for it then. Is there any advantage to using the cream first or should I go straight for the dressing?

Don't worry, it will have the dirty look again. I just wanted to try and get the stains out.

Pecard's on US Wings CE Vintage Cowhide
Has anyone applied Pecard's to one of the US Wings Collectors Edition Vintage Cowhides. I have had mine for about 7 months and wear it regularly. I want to do whatever I can to ensure I can enjoy it for years to come but would like to see what the colour looks like afterwards. If someone has some be...

Thanks. I tried too find something at some fabric shops here this evening and nothing even remotely close. I will likely go with the Todd's ribbon.maboot38 wrote:I replaced a DP ribbon with a Todd's Ribbon, so here are the photos of the two so you can compare. Sorry if they are a little dark.

Re: Indiana Jones Collectors Edition 100% Beaver Fur Felt Hat
Well I ended up taking my hat to get cleaned on Monday morning at a local hat shop, Head Case, here in Edmonton. They called this a.m and I swung by to pick it up. All the stains are gone and it looks like new again. Now if I can track down some of that ultra dark brown grosgrain I will change the b...

Re: Stetson Official dates?
I managed to track down some info for you. It appears that stetson got the contract prior to the release of temple of doom. Some of there hats may have even been used in the movie. Stetson than lost the contract shortly their after and DP picked it up a few years later. The rest is history. I can't ...

Re: Indiana Jones Collectors Edition 100% Beaver Fur Felt Hat
:#: Thanks for all the input everyone. I really love my hat but was feeling a little put off after reading so many negative DP threads. I think I have decided to leave it as is. I will eventually pick up an AB when I can convince the wife why I need another hat. Until then I think the only change I ...

Re: Indiana Jones Collectors Edition 100% Beaver Fur Felt Hat
Thanks. I am with you. I actually want gear that is of the quality it can be used in the real world. As I have learned though you can have the Indy accuracy and real quality. I do love my hat and it will get used and abused for years to come. I bought it without enough research when I was beginning ...

Re: All my gear...(for now)
Gear looks fantastic. Seeing all the COW members in their fantastic gear has wound up costing me a pretty penny though. Oh well, plenty of worse things to spend money on in my opinion.

Re: Indiana Jones Collectors Edition 100% Beaver Fur Felt Hat
I think it has held up exceptionally well(No real previous experience. Just my impression after about 100mi of back country trail blazing). This has been my first experience with a quality felt hat. The picture I just took is a bit blurry but besides needing a cleaning to eliminate some water(and po...

Indiana Jones Collectors Edition 100% Beaver Fur Felt Hat
So I did the newby thing and bought this hat. I have had long since learned the error in my ways after browsing COW post for about a year. The thing is I already spent the money(overpriced I know) and the hat is actually of relatively good quality. I wear it hiking and as a general outdoors adventur...
