I'd bet they went with whatever the prop house had kicking round in 1980 that fit the pistol. Elastic makes a world of difference to ease of use with a shoulder holster arm strap - whatever the lighting brown leather would still look pretty brown. I can agree to that! I grew up in southern CA but didn’t know what sweating was until I moved to the northwest and wore my hat on a hot, humid day. I wear my hat most days until it hits about 80 and high humidity, then it pours down my face. The summers are getting hot here again.

Is it heavy or rather lightweight? That was my question. First of all, I love the color and texture! What is the weight of the whip? I have a 10’ Jacka CS and Todd’s 8’. As much as I love cracking the Jacka it wears me out, so I find myself cracking the 8’ one more often, but I love the 10’ length.

They probably electroplated it. You use a special paint with metal in it that attracts the metal being used in the electroplated process, probably nickel in this case.
