Denix Webley WG
Denix is currently taking votes for what guns they should make next, the Webley WG is currently at around 130 or so, the more votes it gets the more likely Denix is to take a crack at recreating it.

Superb! I'd love to see a Denix version of the WG...That would smash it!

Don't forget to vote Webley Green instead of Webley MK6 because there is minor difference.

Same.
Although I searched "Webley" and noticed there's a "Webley Army WG" and a "Webley WG". Is the grip color the only difference? The "Army WG" is LC accurate, correct? I voted for both, but I'm curious.

Re: Denix Webley WG
There are several Webley WG on the list, apparently every suggestion gets added to the list without any cross referencing. It looks like one has a silver finish and there are two different grip colors, but those are all pictures that were submitted by users, not Denix, so any one of them won't necessarily be the final product/finish based solely on the survey.
As so which is most SA to LC, I don't have the expertise nor eye to know. To my knowledge the 1889 is the correct gun, not the 1890 that is also listed.
I tried to vote from different devices too to bump up the numbers, but that didn't work. I voted by phone, but when I followed the link on my laptop the survey showed I already voted.
Looking at the top 10 it seems like the WWI and WWII reenactor groups are out in force for rifles of the period.

Indiana Jeff

I'm no expert either, but I agree the 1889 seems more familiar.Indiana Jeff wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 9:43 am

According to the IMDFB (https://www.imfdb.org/index.php?title=I ... Army_Model), Webley WG Army Model is correct for LC.Indiana Jon wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 9:35 amSame.

I just voted for all 3, I accidentally added the one with the brown grips not knowing about the search function at first. The brown grip version was used in a few scenes in Last Crusade and the picture is from prop store.

Wow! That’s great!
And the Bapty is tied for 2nd!
I’m not worried about which finish. Denix already offers different finishes on the same model of gun so if they do make a Webley, I’m sure they will offer it in silver and blue finishes.

Re: Denix Webley WG
What?!
Neither gun was that far ahead of #3 that I would think they were artificially elevated. It's not like each got 10,000 votes and #3 had 1,000.
Maybe Denix pulled them because they already made the decision to produce them and are now seeing what other guns rise to the top spots.
Regards,
Indiana Jeff

Received this reply from Denix when I questioned their reset of the vote:
Clarification on Vote Count for Suggested Replicas
Dear friends and fans,
Thank you for taking the time to write to us and for your enthusiasm in supporting the production of the Smith & Wesson from Indiana Jones and the Webley WGreplicas.
We would like to clarify that our voting system allows one vote per IP addressfor replicas that are already listed in our voting section. As for new replica suggestions, they can be proposed only once, and if the model is already included in our system, additional suggestions are not counted as votes. To actively vote for a model, it is necessary to use the designated voting button.
We deeply appreciate the support you and your community are showing for these models. We would love to feature your campaign on our blog to recognize your dedication. If you would like to share photos of your reenactment group, we would be delighted to dedicate a post highlighting your efforts to promote these iconic replicas.
Additionally, we encourage you to register any of your reenactment events on our DENIX FRIENDLY POINTS MAP, where history enthusiasts can discover and participate in your activities.
Once again, we sincerely appreciate your commitment and interest in our historical replicas. If you have any further questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out.

Re: Denix Webley WG
Thank you for reaching out to Denix to see what happened.
That's super frustrating that they allow for multiple entries of the same model of guns to be listed and then cut the top vote earners because people voted for more than one entry. That's not at all clear on the website.
Oh well, both the Webley and the Bapty are rising through the ranks in voting so I'm still encouraged.

Indiana Jeff

Re: Denix Webley WG
I don’t believe it, someone just added another Webley identical to the one that’s now in 11th place. It’s the same gun only the flip side. They also misspelled it as “Weblwy” which is taking away from votes.

Agreed that one Webley quickly rose to the top, then was cut and is now again quickly rising. Obviously there is interest. Certainly from the Indy community, but there are many military reenactors who would love to have a Webley reproduction.

Re: Denix Webley WG
The thing unique about the Webley WG Army model is that it was not an official British service revolver. It was a commercial version available for private purchase by British military officers. The “WG” is for Webley Government not Webley Green, which is often seen.
And who doesn’t love that bird head grip?
The Webley Mk IV and Vi models were the ones issued for service, which is why we probably see replicas of these available.

But about the Bapty, that's a grand shame... I guess I've got to wait some more for a nice metal replica to become available. I am still hoping Denix just took it out and are considering making it.
