Re: Compliments on the general gear

My new response to the question, "Why are you so dressed up?" will be "Why aren't you?" It's past 5, what am I, a farmer? I do wish I could pull off the kind of clothes Indiana wore at the end of Raiders. But I'm a short Asian guy so it's tougher :P But yeah, that old style is s...

Re: Azuma's projects #2 of 3 - The Last Crusade Shirt

Just got my shirt safe and sound. Looks great. Only one complaint. I usually buy Smalls at stores like Express, Banana Republic, Club Monaco. When they say fitted, I love the way it fits, not too tight, but definitely well fitting on me. I'm by no means super skinny, in fact I have a bit of pudge I...

Re: The NEW 404/403 Alden Indy Boots are showing up!

Okay, so here's what I want to know: I just ordered a pair of 403's. On the second link above, Shoemart shows a 40514H and a 403. Except for the slighly faded look of the photograph making the 403 appear lighter in color, they look IDENTICAL, the 403 is called "Brown Analine Pullup" ($378...

Re: The NEW 404/403 Alden Indy Boots are showing up!

So I've been looking at the 404's. Alden 404 But they don't have my size, and they said it'd take 6-8 weeks to get it in my size. Anyone know a place? I did find it at TheShoeMart here But I read some reviews of ShoeMart that makes me kinda weary. Does anyone have any experiences to share? I e-maile...

Re: Azuma's projects #2 of 3 - The Last Crusade Shirt

For people shipping to the US (or Michigan specifically) was there actually an importing tariff? I've ordered things from overseas before where there wasn't one. I didn't get any fees at all. And the shipping price I paid for was about the same as anywhere in the US.....and it got here as quick as ...

Re: Todd's Standard Sizing Question

5'7'', 155 lbs, 30'' waist. I ordered the Small, like I do for everything I buy clothes-wise. The main body was rather short. http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/170/17159227.jpg Other than that it seems like a great jacket. I would ask and confirm the length of the mainbody of the size you are plann...

Todd's Costumes? Where is he + a few other questions.

So, I'm trying to get a couple things from Todd before the Halloween party in a few weeks. I've emailed him, called him a couple times (answering machine) no response whatsoever. I just need to know if the stuff I order will get here in time. Like, does anyone know if I were to order things like the...

Re: MkVII Laptop Bag

I have a new 17” Macbook Pro Lightest 17inch ever. Most aren't that light. Meh I prefer sizing the laptop to fit the bag instead of the other way around. Tons of companies have netbooks out. They're all from 8.9-10.1 inches, use the same N270 processor, come with 1GB of ram, 160GB Harddrive, blah b...

Re: MkVII Laptop Bag

Well I just got back from a trip w/my 17" laptop. I had purchased a Targus messenger style bag specifically for the trip. Everyone has a black nylon laptop case at the airport and it would be sooo easy to get the wrong computer. I thought several times about this project and how I would love t...

Re: MkVII Laptop Bag

For reference, there are 10.1 inch netbooks that also fit into the mkvii very nicely. So a slightly larger screen, same pixel size. It's what I plan on using when I get my netbook after the summer.

Re: MkVII Laptop Bag

I think a MKVII would look fine scaled up. As I said before I don't think you could use the leather strap, but a web strap like the originals is no different than most of the bags on the market. I am going to do some PS mockups when I get home later, so we'll see. I think it would look pretty good ...

I went to JoAnn Fabrics and got myself some Dylon Dye of olive green coloring. These are the instructions Wade e-mailed to me "1) Use fabric dye designed for canvas or cotton canvas duck only. Use two shades lighter than you think it will take when choosing dye. 2) Take the wet bag from the was...

How happy are you with the Todd's strap? I'm looking to get another strap.

@OP
Where are you planning to get your leather? Do they come pre-cut in 1inch thickness or do you need to do that yourself somehow?

I ordered that LLBean shirt a while back. I have to say, the sizing chart seems to be pretty off. The small was huge, absolutely huge. I buy smalls with those same specs on the sizing chart, and they fit much better. I had to give the shirt away because it was much too big for me. You may want to tr...

Todd's vs. Magnoli MKVII

I've decided to get an MKVII bag. I looked around this forum a bit first but couldn't form an opinion based on that alone so I'm looking for some direct input from you guys. Which of these bags would stand up to the most wear and tear? Right now I'm thinking no the original unissued bags as I really...

Well actually, I just watched LC again, and you can clearly see that Indy grabs his bag and his whip as well as his dad's briefcase when he says "Come on, dad!". It's in the scene when they just locked the Nazis outside of the secret room and are about to go down the stairs and take the mo...

As many custom PB Indy's as they've pushed out their doors over the years, I see the situations listed above as rare occurances. Hope this helps, I can always provide pic's if you need some. That would be very helpful thanks! With regards to Michaelson, my concerns with PB were oriented more towards the bash than the quality of felt. This thread is where I became a little hesitant about ordering one right away. I had a heck ...

LC style fedora question regarding PB/Akubra.

What's up guys? New member here with a question. I've done searches on Peter Bros, LC style hats, Akubra Feds, and some other things, read the FAQ's and whatnot, and came away with a few impressions. The PB hats are inconsistent? Some people seemed to have had better experiences than others, while A...
