Re: Buying an Expo, but found a thrift shop distressing vict
I'd recommend US Wings. I have several of their jackets and have been satisfied with their construction and durability. I agree on the Wings choice, including leaning toward the 'Signature' Series, as they're all made by Schott. They're well within the price range too, and tough as nails. Once you ...

Re: Buying an Expo, but found a thrift shop distressing vict
I'd recommend not bothering with hidden storm flaps. In my opinion they offer little in terms of functionality and if you find otherwise just have non hidden snaps added after the fact. Really the snaps only serve a function in very windy conditions and the non cuffed sleeves and pleats kind of make...

Yep - Part of paying that premium is to get their expertise. I'd once heard there are real guidlines for military dress cuts and tailoring. I'd be interested in hearing them. But I laugh too. if you put that tape around your chest and it says 40, a 40 cut jacket is gonna have as much "give&quo...

Re: Wested's HERO jacket...
The reason why I mentioned that is due to the "off the shoulder" cut of these jackets-the more the jacket is hanging off your shoulders, then the sleeves will extend further down the arm. If in doubt, just order your regular size, because it is better to have too much sleeve than not enou...

andy86i I don't think that hat looks funny on you at all in fact I'd say your head shape seems to work well with this style hat. I would say all the Wings offerings other than the Legend series are "Americanized" sizing. The Legend is cut a little trimmer. I believe the long would ad aproximately 2" to the body and an inch to the sleeves.

Nice choice :TOH: I believe that's the same leather used on the Crystal Skull jackets. Top notch stuff. A little light in color for the Raiders look but a beautiful finish in it's own right. Perfect choice for a go-to jacket to take on an outdoor adventure. Oh the waiting. On the bright side you sho...

Hey Indy Jacket Fans, What do you think is the best choice for: - a USA made/available jacket (i.e. non-Wested) - SA is not important - Needs to be tough for outdoors use (hiking, camping) but also for casual wear around town. - Want lightweight to medium weight for spring/fall/winter in a Seattle-...

That's a tough one. Hard to tell how well it fits by a picture of it right out of the box. This leather is pretty stiff which can cause the fit to seem weird until it relaxes. I would put more weight into how you like the fit through the shoulders, chest and waist. Those sleeves will develop creases...
