Spike room - When Indy tells Willy its a along story you see him hand SR a knife as he was using it to jimmy the spike room mechanism. Mods you can move this over to the other c...

TOD Knife
I was watching TOD tonight and I noticed this knife pop-up on screen. Its in the scene where Indy gets whipped. As the thuggee grabs his whip from the pile of Indy's gear up comes this knife. It seems to be a knife in Indy's possession,(or Short Rounds?) as it was wrapped up in Indy's gun belt. What...

Yup still planning on putting together a tutorial, with picture goodness. :) It just may take me a while to get my wife to sit down at the sewing machine again before we leave for our 10 year anniversary cruse to Ensenada the 2nd week of November. She's working nights now and that leaves very few Sa...

Little update- Found the brass snaps and got those installed. I also spent some time in the shop trying to form a disk out of some thin aluminum sheet metal we had at the shop. No luck with that, I'm just glad I didn't cut myself. I also started drafting out the pattern in Autocad. No real dis...

DIY MKVII
Well I wanted to share with you guys my attempt to put together a homemade MKVII. Working with photos gathered from this site. I was able to put together a pattern. And with a large amount of my wife's help on the sewing machine, I'm really happy with the results. It still needs a little tweaking. T...

I wanted to share my finished whip after a bit more work. I wanted to modify it for a Young Indy LC look. So I did a red overlay on the handle and bound it under the THK. There's a lot of taper at the transition knot. But I like it. Now on to a 8' tan. :whip: http://i537.photobucket.com/albums/ff338...

I couldn't understand the THK until I found this tutorial. It was linked to in the thread over at the RPF. So I made the knot on my fingers then I slipped it over the whip and tightened it down. The one with the pins looks interesting I may need to give that a try. Im getting ready to start a 8' bro...

I love my A2. I got it from my grandfather who was in the Navy in WW2 (Pacific). This is a reproduction but I love the back label. It's what I am using as my Indy Jacket until I can get a SA. I've never looked up the brand name so I don't know much about it. http://i537.photobucket.com/albums/ff338/...

My first whip
Hello I wanted to share my 1st self made 6' bullwhip, made from nylon. All I could find locally was black for the body. Now I realise I should wrap the handle in a red overlay and change the turks heads to black and have a LC young Indy whip. Good enough for me, until I can rub my nickels together t...

I don't know much about making nylon whips, but you mentioned the butt is lead loaded. I've always heard that typically nylon whips have the thong loaded to make up for the nylon being lighter than leather. Is the thong also loaded or is the whip really butt heavy? Just curious? Possible bag option
Hello all, Newby here. I've enjoyed reading your posts. I've picked up lots of good info to get my gear together. I've gotten some pants and an ordering a shirt from Cabela's to get started. I already have a A-2 (w/knit cuffs unfortunately) that will work for now. I'm looking to get a close enough b...
