Re: Brand New Adventurebilt

Thanks for the tips, guys. Mitch guessed it, it is a Magnoli adventure shirt, and it really is a great looking shirt. What's odd is that the buttons on mine are clear up close, it's only from far away that they take on that really dark look that you see in the pictures. Oak, I don't always wear the ...

Brand New Adventurebilt

Hey all, I ordered an Adventurebilt in August of 2007, and I received it about a month ago. I figure it's about time to share it with all of you, since I know that you'll appreciated it. When it showed it up it was way bent out of shape from the shipping, but I think I've got all of the major kinks ...

Well that just about settles it. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and grab a pair! Those soles are exactly what I was looking for.

Well, to be honest it's not a typical scientific expedition. I'm entering a land race from England to Cameroon, and I wanted to look spiffy, mainly. The race is called the Africa Rally, and it was created by a group called the Adventurists, whom you may have heard of. I also do some light riding, so...

It helps that the expedition is in Africa, and I have some vintage safari gear, so I think they would look very cool. Thanks for all the support guys! I guess my main concern for them is if they were truly only for riding, or if you could wear them doing all manner of activities. Short of swimming o...

Magnoli Field Boots

Does anybody own a pair of Magnoli's Field Boots? I'm thinking of getting a pair to compliment my aldens (which I use for dressier occasions). I want to add a dash of derring-do to an expedition I'm taking, and want to know how they'd hold up. So please, let me know!

Hey all, I just got an email from Steve saying that he was on August 2007 orders, and that he should be making mine within the month. So this should make the people who ordered in August excited at least!

I'd say so. I ordered mine August 8th, 2007, and I've yet to hear anything. I think I'll drop him a line myself, hopefully to change my bash if it isnt too late.

Alright, so I ordered mine at the beginning of August way back in 2007. I can hardly believe that it's been SIXTEEN MONTHS, and I get more excited by the day. Do you guys think I'll get the white box by Christmas? Or should I just check with the man himself? I'm geeking out here!

They have some really cool stuff in there. A question, though: Why are the books in the safari section so expensive? When I clicked on them they arn't being advertised as being anything special, so why is "Out of Africa" being offered for $2,300? Seems a tad odd... :-k

I like to think that, because of his ties to James Bond, Indy wears Persols as well, even if it is a bit anachronistic. Steve McQueen also wore Persol, so they are kind of a "tough guy" brand of sunglasses. My own personal pair are an aviator like style. I posted this picture over in the h...

I bought my first and ony pair of Aldens about two years ago, and they are EXTREMELY comfortable. They are possibly the best shoes I've ever purchased. I went on a week long trip to New York in October, and my regular tennis shoes were giving me blisters from all of that walking. So I just popped on...

Does anyone know of any way to get the pocket flaps on my wested to be more scalloped? Mine are looking terribly flat. I searched through the database, but I didn't find any good nuggets of wisdom. So enlighten me please, jacket gods! [-o<

The belt color is actually darker than the picture that's posted. I'm not sure if it's dead on, but it's close enough to my eye. The only qualm I have is that the deluxe belts back is unfinished, and is raw uncolored leather. The front looks great though. I hope that was clear.

I bought the deluxe and never looked back. From what I've read here in the archives, the regular gunbelt is good, but it isn't really made to hold the weight of the gun, so it stretches. I could be wrong though, as I don't own one. But I really am very happy with the deluxe, so I suggest you go with...

So I received a box from Peru yesterday, and needless to say I'd been looking forward to that box for quite a while. Inside was a gorgeous 8 foot raider's style bullwhip, and it's the last piece of my Indy Gear that I needed. Bernardo's craftmanship is amazing, and I couldn't be more delighted. My o...

Hey all! I just got a care package from Noel Howard with my indy shirt and pants today, and I couldn't be happier. I put on the pants however, and I realized that I have no idea how to get rid of the creases that run from the top to the bottom of each leg. I don't want to get rid of the pleats mind ...
