I saw this for saw and thought the same thing as you did:

A. And Adventurebilt for cheap!
B. They trimmed it down?!

If I would have had just a little more cash....

Oh, and btw, looks good.

Yes, Scott brought one both times, as near as I can figure. It was a very wide brimmed hat, designed for sun protection. You can see it in a few of the Polar journey trips. It was often tied down so as to provide "blinders" of a sort for the bright, bright snow.

I have had this jacket since Christmas and man, it is looking GREAT! The grain is coming out well and it has broken in very, very well. In fact, It's my number one non-wool jacket. It even eclipsed my M-41s which I adore.

If you look at pictures from the era, the leather jacket was the top part of a layering system, shirt, sweater and jacket. That's how I wear mine and it works really, really well.

I applied the gelle (or cream) on mine and it turned into a very nice medium brown, and removed the suede feel altogether. ####, it's like a whole 'nother jacket. I read somewhere that the dressing would be not as good because of the beeswax. Something about the natural material versus what is in th...

Well, I just got mine, applied some Pecards......wow. I love it! For the price I could not be happier. With the pecards applied it's a whole few shades darker.

Awesome, they weren't Aldens but Finnish M/91 Combat Boots. http://www.milpro.fi/imagedb//0002D011-7EB1-1E18-B4E1DFA2504A902C.jpg They looked pretty rad when the Pecards were still wet and the boots shined like crazy, but the soaking in toned it down quite nicely. Should do it again in a few months...

Pecards on Black

I have seen Pecards applied on Brown jackets, but what about Black? I have a Wested Doctor Who in black and would like to apply some sort of treatment, would pecards be a good idea?
Does Pecards work on shoes too?

I am sorta new to the treat you leather thing!

Unfortunately Enfields have really gone up in the last few years. I nearly went into shock at some of the prices sellers were wanting. $500? Com'on. I would say $195 is more on the level. To put it into perspective I paid $50 for mine, listed in "poor" condition when in reality it was in p...

Watch out for Colonel Bubbie! A bunch of guys in the WWII Reenacting community have had major problems on getting the correct product and authenticy issues, as well as poor customer service. I have not ordered personally from him but I have heard of enough bad experiences, just watch out.

You know, I ordered a black XXL and had some problems. The jacket is tight on me when buttoned, but the Doctor wore it open anyway, I suppose. I ordered mine off the rack too, Once I lose my gut a bit it will fit better. BTW, based on my experience English sizes are not cut for us portly Americans. ...

New Repro Mk VI Gasmask bag

Hey everyone, I ordered a Mk VI Gas mask bag from Lawrance Ordnance in Australia a few months ago and I would like to HIGHLY reccomend it. I use the Mk VI because of the number of pockets; it fits better with my needs. http://www.lawranceordnance.com/new/equipment-other-reproduction.html The price w...
