This is the problem I see with many men's shirts and jackets. The seam that connects the shoulders and the sleeves should be on the top, outer edge of the shoulder. Most men wear shirts and jackets where the seam is somewhere down the arm, which makes the shoulders look round, makes the front and ba...

Yep yep yep. I've seen some pretty roughed-up versions, especially the ones that were used in the war, but the WPG ones are pretty much new. Check to make sure that you didn't get any dry-rot. Yank on the rings, pull on the stitches a bit. It should hold, and if not, WPG will replace it. I use mine ...

Yes, listen to Dalexs. Especially about the rinsing part.

I wouldn't use pool bleach, though. No idea what the concentration would be. The LLBean shirt is quite tough, and has stood up to multiple bleachings. This has also softened the shirt, and made it look more worn.

Hey GNW, I tried to redye the LLBean shirt, with only marginal success. It ended up quite a bit lighter, but only after I used dye remover 3 times, and then let it soak in a diluted bleach solution overnight. I'll probably keep working on it, though. It's almost acceptable, but it's certainly better...

Go to a fabric/hobby store, get a stitch remover. It's a little tool witha sharpened, curved pick on the end. You can take out the stitches without damaging the strap. I did this. My wife uses the old strap as a belt (looks great on her!) I wouldn't worry about "destroying" this item. If y...

One more post, I just can't help myself. Hey Gang, I saw this jacket on another show. I really like the wrinkled, distressed look this jacket has. Any ideas on how to get this? Hey folks,

I just called my local Redwing store, and they have this one available. It doesn't seem to be online, though, and the proprietor said she thinks it is exclusive to the brick-and-mortar (not internet) stores.

They have it here for $200, with a shorter version for $179.
