Thanks for the good replies. I visited the links you posted. Very helpful. I don't think Zorros whip-handles can be longer than about 17 inches in the two pics above. Also, what is this "cane" made of used in whip handles?
And also, are the Henderson-whips in the other thread 'roo hide?

Don't know what whip handles were made of back in the day. The horsehair would be a problem. It would be pretty hard to get, and expensive too....

Maybe cotton would work, but it wouldn't hold up very well.

The Pershing boots were made for wear in the muddy, ratfilled trenches, and they should stay there. I do belive these boots would be far to warm to wear in Cairo or India, but then again, Aldens would be too.
