I am not sure the materials are cheap Cowboy, none of the thread has broken and the leather is fine, I think it just came undone. Should I PM Peter about it? I read somewhere else his wife has had health issues and as much as I love my jacket, I have no desire to bother him with it if he is experien...

From what I have seen on the forums Afrayedknot, I would definitely request reinforced stitching around the handwarmers. I would also think about trying to get something other than satin on the sleeves too. Sure they make the jacket slide right on, but on the right arm where the elbow bends, the lin...

Stitching at the hand-warmer area coming undone on my Wested

The stitching is coming undone on the hand-warmer area on both sides of my Wested. Now I would have chalked it up to me being too rough on the jacket, but it is happening on both sides of the jacket. The only things that go in those pockets are my hands (without gloves) and keys so it isn't somethin...

To echo Cowboy's plight, I have had the seams pop where the handwarmer pockets are. I am really concerned about this. I love the jacket and all but it isn't that old. I don't really shove anything in them other than my hands or my keys (small keyring with two keys on it). This is by no means a flame...

Anyone have any advice on putting the Turk's head on the end of the whip? And the know that sits where the whip meets the handle? I've made the rest of the whip, but the turk's head knots are killing me. I have the book by Ron Edwards and he is pretty detailed with his descriptions but I still am ha...
