Don't fret too much Draft, my wife asks me all the time what I carry in my "purse" then laughs it off. The guys at workused to ask me about it, but when they saw I didn't rise to their baiting, they backed off.

Well,I figured out how to fix it. Took the bag to my leather guy and had him put two new snaps on it. Theyre a hair smaller than the originals , but, hey it works!

Bag Dilema

I just pulled my bag out for a canoe trip and discovered one of the snaps has disappeared! I have no idea where or when it happened but I need to know how to replace or repair it. Any help?

Yesterday, I took my daughter to the range . She's not a bad shot really. The thing is, I shot much better than I normally do. Maybe it was just ol dad showing off for the kid, making it look like he knows what he's doing?

Yeah, I agree about the rifle. Put a rifle in my hands and point to the target and I'll hit it. Now I'll have to get out to the range more like J Weaver said.

Guess what I found out?

Went to the pistol range and made a very important discovery. Turns out that I really **** with a pistol. Do you think that Indy would carry around an M1 Garand instead? lol I know, I know, Practice makes perfect.

I found my S&W 2nd HE at a local gunshop called Antique and Modern Firearms. It does have the longer barrel, so I've ordered Todd's holster. I got a pretty good deal on it too, paying $300 . They had a few M1917s in the case last time I was there.

Ive worn pigskin gloves before. They are decent enough for looks, but actual use.....well you get what you pay for. They can last for a week or so of hard work, then start developing holes

I was talking to my leather maker today and asked him in his professional opinion, whats the best preservative and conditioner for leather? He told me food grade mineral oil is the best. Anyone else ever hear of this?

I was at one of the local tack shops today and came across a bottle of " JobSite Leather Lotion". On the bottle it says Cleans, polishes ,protects, conditions . Has anyone ever used this stuff ? Im just wondering if it would work on my whip bag strap, and other leather gear.
