what is the most any indy whip has ever sold for at auction? Is 66 grand the highest?

Did you guys ever definativly find out how long the whips in the films were? I thought the raiders whip was an eight footer.

Was it 8 footer used for cracking and the 10 footer as the 'hero' whip?

So do whips made by different makers have different girths(is that a word?). As far as I can tell from pictures, morgans look like they have a wider diameter girth above the handle then strains. do 6ft/ 8ft and 10ft bullwhip handles (made by the same whipmaker) have the same diameter/thickness and just have varying lenghts of the tapered portion of the thong? or are the handle thickness increasing with proportion to the length of the overall whip?

i don't want to offend the guy over at WSP. He told me it was a joe strain, and if i try to return/ exchange it because ... what...?
