Hey, I own a goatskin jacket for a few weeks now. And your problems sound familiar. 1. The pleats always stay a little open on my jacket. I find the pleat behavior very reasonable, especially since I don't have the 'elastics'. I am satisfied. Without pictures your pleats are difficult to judge. 2. Y...

Hey Gus, You want to wear a leather jacket in a Greek summer...? 8) I think that the difference in leather is not substantial anymore. It'll be warm, no matter what leather you wear. I am dutch too, and I decided to go with the Auth. Goatskin. I just picked it up this week :D . I do have other cowhi...

Hey guys,

I'll try to post some pictures. It might take a few days since I don't have a digital camera.

By the way, in case you're interested, I will write down the way I travelled to Wested. Maybe today, maybe tomorrow. I'm in kind of a hurry right now. Anyone interested?

I've got it!! And it's great!!!

:D Hi there, Well, after a long wait, I finally got my jacket. London is one of my favorite cities, so I decided to make a citytrip out of it and pick the jacket up in person. Only 30 minutes away from Victoria trainstation is where I found the new location of the Wested Company. A Last Crusade Goat...

Dear Fist, Of course, it's all up to you: If you feel comfortable wearing a hat, you should wear it. But apparently you're not completely comfortable since you shared your problems with us. I can imagine that the reaction of other people depends partially on the area (or country) you live in. So com...

Oh well, I assumed that there are always some custom taxes. At least, in the Netherlands. I checked this on our Dutch customs website. For leather goods, that would be a totall of 23 percent of the whole product value including postage cost. In my case that would be 23 percent of approximately 255 e...

Hello Europeans,

Isn't it true that for most of us Europeans, collecting the Jacket in London personally with a carefull planned trip is almost the cost of the postage and taxes..? (If you don't feel bad about avoiding taxes of course  )

Just curious.

Hey Binkmeister, Thanks for your understanding and clear reply. Guess I'm not the only one that is torn apart by 'wanting to look good' and a 'practical solution'. Nice hat, by the way, that is posted in your linked topic. As you recommend a good straw hat to be 'best of both', I truly consider that...

Ahoy Captain!!!! Congratulations with your jacket. Looking forward to your pictures. I always assumed that the torturing 'wait' was an exaggerating crap-story... And now, I can hardly fall asleep. In a few weeks I'm gonna catch a plane to London... and hope mine fits as well as yours Cpt. D!!! Greet...

Yep, I've got to admit, it might be a sin for an Indy fan: Packing a hat. But as I said, I would like to use the hat for traveling. Which means in my case, backpacking, with an occasional jungle- or mountaintrekking... I thought some situation are just not comfortable with a hat. Like when yo...

Hey people, Thanks for all the quick replies!!! It's highly appreciated. Considering hot weather it might be wise to buy a straw hat, right? Others recommend the AKUBRA hats. Sorry to bother you guys with another question... How about the packability of an Indy style fedora? Are there hats that look...

Hi there, A lot can be said about a good hat taking quality, durability and screen accuracy into account. Which is good, very good. The posts are very helpfull; As a newbie I appreciate all the replies. As an Indyfan I try to visit all the places my hero has been to. I would like to buy a reasonable...

Hey Ken,

Can I draw the conclusion that you've been to Wested before? Do you know how far it is from the Swanley trainstation? I was told that the trip from Victoria station to Swanley would be approximately 30 minutes... How far is Wested from Swanley station?

Funny that you ask that. I am planning on going to Wested too...!!! I just ordered my LC jacket today. For me it is cheaper to pick it up myself then to let it send over. The Wested adress can be found at www.wested.com; look at the 'contact' link. I've done some research and their office/factory is...

Hi there

Some of you mention that D-rings might disfunction with soft (lamb)leather. I am going to order my LC jacket in goat. Will the D-rings hold? By the way, are D-rings screen accurate on the LC?

Greetz and have a nice weekend,

Hi there, It seems the collar of the LC jacket keeps starting discussions..;-).. I decided to order the LC jacket WITH the large collar, since the jacket in the Last Crusade looked awesome and I realized an accent on the 70's is my style... But a lot of people (especially newbie's) are curious about...

Collar expected??

Hi, So I read that there is some difference in tast; sounds reasonable to me. Another question on my mind is: When you ordered a LC jacket with the big collar, did you get what you expected? Or was it bigger than you estimated looking at the movie? I have the impression some people experienced it as...

Crusade Collar too big???

Hi, I'm new here, I hope someone can answer the following questions... I am thinking of ordering a Last Crusade Jacket in Authentic Goat. Since that type of leater isn't too warm, yet durable. But some people seem not to be happy with the bigger collar of a LC style jacket. Looking at the movie the ...
