Re: Original Truck Chase Scene Raiders Jacket Recent Photo
Hi all I thought I would chime in here with some additional information on jackets. I've been a member of this forum many years, though I've never been overly active. Indy jackets have been debated online for many years with a lot of bad information going around -- and I believe for some time, delib...

I've seen Raiders jackets with both BRITISH and SOLIDE buckles. That photo with the purple-gloved hand, and the "Scratches" visible on the leather of the jacket, is definitely a Raiders jacket and not TOD. I've seen a TOD jacket with SOLIDE buckles. Maybe there are TOD jackets with other b...

Nice research Stefan. FYI at least one Raiders jacket (private collection) has the "Solide" buckles rather than the "British" buckles. There is also variation in the zippers - at least two different brands. The Lucas Museum collection has 2x Raiders jackets and 2x TOD jackets. Th...

For clarity, the photos that will be shown in the catalog were shot first, at our facility in Los Angeles. The hat then went to Comic Con, then traveled to the UK (where it was shown with the top sitting incorrectly at one point) and the top has now been re adjusted to current format -- which is how...

All -- The hat has not been casually "re-bashed" in the sense of what I think you all are describing, based on the above commentary. The hat it extremely soft and malleable. If you set it onto a head form, it will take the "wrong" shape, with the inside of the top pushed upward, ...

We had asked whether he was sharing jackets with Harrison Ford, or whether a specific jacket was made just for him, for the stunt sequences. He said that one was made specifically for him (to be used in the film - not to take home.)

Hi guys
It's really hard to read the manufacturer under the rear site. It looks like it starts with "UNC" and ends with "OD". Not sure if that makes any sense.
If you'd like to know anything else about it, just let me know and I'll be happy to try and help.

Good observation Terry! During filming, this rifle had an full-auto sear installed, making it an M2 carbine. Hi guys, It's certainly possible that the property master could have sourced a rubber gun from elsewhere. In my opinion it looks more like a real firearm than a rubber gun. Rubber guns in that era were more crude than they are today. Since we know they had a 5" real S&W on set, and this one...

Yes, I believe all of the shots of Ford firing were done in California. Interestingly, the guns were rented on August 25 1983, and returned September 12, 1983. On December 1st, 1983, the production rented the 5" S&W and the 4" Colt again. They were returned December 15. I'm guessing th...
